EDIT2: I wanted to draw her butt. v.v This newest pose isn't the most accurate, but just wanted to do a quick sketch for horny reasons.

EDIT: Added some old Vemmy sketches from years ago. You can see how she was more Yinglet-esque back then.

Vemmy is... super enthusiastic to be on an adventure. :3
She looked a little different when I first sketched her during a D&D campaign (closer to a yinglet from the Out of Placers webcomic) so now that i'll be playing her as well as DMing for an adventure, I figured it was time to redesign/redraw her, and give her actual gear befitting of a rogue.

<<Stotytime>>
When Akeno, the white-scaled, azure-eyed Dragonborn and his traveling companions happened upon a slaver's mine, they knew they had to defeat the slavers and continue to their next destination. Just after defeating the slavers, Akeno glanced towards the kobold slaves and that was when-
"Can I free a kobold slave and take them with me? Purely as a non-combatant NPC?"
"Uhhh sure, go ahead and roll a D20."
*A D20 rolls across the table and lands on an '11.'*
"Ok, uhhhh... you free a slave, but they're not really happy about it."

Akeno frees a nameless kobold slave who was actually pretty content with her life as a slave. She was inside, relatively safe, and had a single task to focus on. It wasn't much, but it was her simple life and she was content. Only to suddenly be 'freed' by some idiot and forced to go along with him and his crew facing a dangerous and life-risking adventure.
Akeno had taken an immediate liking to the Kobold and named her "Vemmy." Though she never returned any sort of warmth or affection his way, she knew that if she suddenly ran away her chances of survival would be slim (Not that they were any better tagging along with this idiot either.)

And so time went on, the adventure ended, and Akeno and Vemmy left the group and proceeded on their own, traversing the land and having their own adventures. One day Akeno decided it would be good for Vemmy to 'have an adventure of her own,' and despite Vemmy's protests, Akeno insisted. He pocketed a small jewel that had no value except to Vemmy herself, and said she'd get it back after she had ONE adventure. He bought the small kobold some traveling gear, and grumbling, she went on her way to find some stupid easy adventure to get her jewel back.

tl;dr- Idiot dragonborn adventurer 'liberates' tsuntsun kobold slave. She very cute.

Thanks! She's usually a pretty closed book. She speaks like a yinglet cuz I think that manner of speaking fits her (a bit high-pitched, and 'th' noise sounds more like a 'z', as well as an interesting/crude way of describing things.)

Like most kobolds, she will avoid a physical confrontation whenever she can, and always look for th e nearest exit. Pretty much eternally grumpy since her 'liberation,' she can be expected to sass and critique her group's decisions constantly. XP

I meant that as in her backstory about what happened between her liberation and her adventure, because you so casually skipped the whole of that, yet mentioned the time period like a teaser. xD

Ah, I don't remember a lot of that adventure since it was years ago. We didn't even get to finish it since I moved before we got to see the end...
After liberating her, I know at some point we had to fight a giant, in which she was SUPER unhappy about being taken from her safe mine, and was cursing Akeno for putting her in so much danger...
I sorta just headcanon filled the blanks and was like "And so they finished that adventure, and Vemmy went with Akeno, traveling with him as more of inconvenient self-preservation than actual attachment. At some point perhaps during a bath after an adventure, Akeno discovered that Vemmy kept a unvaluable jewel that held some sentimental worth to her. Shortly afterwards, Akeno pocketed the jewel and presented her with this task of having her own adventure in the hopes that it would soften her up a bit, and she'd have a bit of fun."
(Akeno's just like that, very carefree. For example before meeting Vemmy, their tavern was beset upon by a small army, and I rolled to see if I could make an army of snowmen to trick the oncoming army into thinking we had larger numbers, and with a high deception roll, it worked.)

Whether or not she'll actually change, well... doubtful but we'll see. ;3

You should get your old group together online and tell them you'd like to continue the adventures. <3 Then transcribe them to us. xD

Haha nahhh there is no backwards, only forwards! Vemmy's NEW adventures! Dunno when they're happening, but soonish. :p

As for transcribing... we'll see. ;3 If anything, i'd paraphrase.

Kobolds are just the best little adventurers. I love seeing artists who can make their tabletop characters come to life in art.

Thanks! I have a lot of doodles from the campaigns i've played, and always draw my characters.
I've added some pics here of some old Vemmy drawings, before her redesign. We can even see Akeno in these! :3
