just a little redesign for fun. i don't think this is better than the original squirtle or anything coz i mean you can't beat that perfection. it took them years to get that design right so im not gonna fix it in 5 minutes lol. just some alternative ideas for fun. "what if they were more turtle-like?" was the inspiration here. they have a more peaked mouth like a snapping turtle and stubbier legs. they have a tiny tail like a real turtle and i tried drawing them on all fours as well. its simple and only a little different. what do you think?
