The Northern Nathan Metro Railway have ordered 12 new Class MET100 for the metro railway and elevated metro railway of Northern Nathan Central State and each of the 12, 10 car metro trains are completed between 2018 to 2019. The MET100 Class is similar to their predecessor MET90 Class and is powered by a 3rd rail electric power, The MET100 Class is completely computer controlled meaning that the only staff on-board are the guard, on-board-supervisors and brakeman (if the computer control fail). The MET100 Class can travel at speeds up to 145 km/h to 161 km/h (90 to 100 mph) in which passengers are able to reach their destinations 5 times faster than MET90 Class.

As of 2022, all 12, 10 car MET100 Class are still in operation today with the first ones painted in purple to stand out more for easy spotting and visability.

Too bad that the Island of Sodor is STILL behind the times despite the show takes place before 1970s.....

....Yet the Thomas reboot is STILL behind the times of technology despite Kana is the regular electric engine

Ah, speaking of which, I just realized... While this Northern Nathan has plenty of trains, the only thing we haven’t seen is their controller(s); their own version of Sir Topham Hatt and/or Mr. Percival, if you will.
