Recently caved and played Sonic Forces. While I don't think It's worth it's list price on steam, I genuinely had a good time with it.

My Avatar is Zeph the Jackdaw, who got his poor winghands blown up just before the game.  He has big hero-crush on most of the Resistance, and is really just happy to be here.

Someone please give Sonic a fresh pair of socks, a chilidog, a nap and a therapist.  In that order. Please.
