Also seems to be why the Apple family is constantly harvesting. No one's told them apples will continue to ripen after being picked, so all the ones they harvest end up getting over-ripe and rotting a few days later. Pick them just before they're fully ripe, they won't go bad before you can sell them and the trees will produce more.
