“Quick! This way!” said Chris.  His red fur melted in the darkness as he scouted the place. He was doing his job, checking the corners, using his suppressed mp5’s night vision sight to ensure there were no hostiles there.  Chris was a fox, a wine red fox, he wore a tactical suit and some high tech glasses that apparent to be normal glass transparent sunglasses. “Clear! Bring her quick…” screamed the fox.
A rabbit in a similar suit entered the alley. This fur was smaller, slimmer and a little girly, he was using a military patterned baseball cap and Googles on it, and he only used a normal handgun and a knife on his other hand. Behind him was a girl, a black Labrador girl in a school dress behind the girl was a mouse, it looked like any normal mouse but his fur was cream color his eyes pink , his body was thinner than normal but still on the “ok” range. The mouse had a similar suit and had a shotgun in his hands. The 3 furs run closer to Chris and formed a protective circle around the lab. The fox got his radio and opened the channel “War hammer we are on position please send a bird to pick u…” he never ended that sentence… a really dark bullet in his left lung keep him from screaming out the pain, the darkness spreading through him like a virus, he never saw the person who attacked the small group, and he never got the change to look at the person who attacked him. He fell to the left, looking at the bunny; he was getting close to him, keeping the lab behind with his other paw. Chris watched the boy crying, he was trying to make pressure on the wound but it was useless, the perforation was almost total and it only helped the fox cough more blood. The girl was crying too, most of fear than emotional pain.  Behind them a transport helicopter was trying to get a clean spot to land, the Calvary came a little bit too late.  The bunny was trying to keep his friend alive when a pink paw held him by the jacket and pushed him inside the helicopter “Tiler No!...You can’t do anything here!... go and tell administration about this!..” said the mouse with a Latin American like accent, he got the fox on his shoulder and threw him inside the chopper before grabbing his mp5 “But what are you going to do?... You can’t fight them all by yourself!” the bunny asked, his big 2 tones eyes open wide, he didn’t wanted to see 2 friends die again in one night. The chopper was starting to rise when he jumped and landed with a roll “Tiler… you fool! That was an order” said the mouse shooting at blurry blots that appeared to be covered in darkness, the beasts screamed in pain, but never stop.” Shut the fuck up and shoot!” said the bunny, shooting too with his PX4 handgun. His knife on his other paw, his aim wasn’t steady, he was totally out of his mind, but the last 5 days where only pure fear “we need a way to open a breach in them.. They’ll not stop until we are one of them” the mouse had a idea, he grabbed a flash grenade from his jacket and pulled Tiler close to him, making him look right to his chest, Tiler closed his eyes shut as the monsters started running to them, he held the mouse as hard as his arms could and the grenade detonated. The creatures disappearing in a roar of screaming voices” quick! Let’s get out of this mousetrap before they come back” Said the mouse pulling the boy by his hand and running to an alley he knew the flash bangs where precious, the things that roam this city were for any uses, immortal to anything but them. Sadly, he only had 5 of them... And he used one to save his friend. He had to thing fast, he had to be brave, even when inside, the fear was consuming him.  But he knew the little creature a side of him was more scared more frightened and more helpless than he was. He was worrying about Chris. But he can’t die... none of them can in the complete darkness. His only wish for the fox is that if he comes back, he doesn’t do it as one of them.

As one of the Taken.
