Character Sheet for Una
Character Description
After meeting and bonding with the most unlikely of lovers, Una decides to leave her life as a low ranked, and just generally outcast, member of her tribe to form a new, stronger tribe with her mate.
Omimeh belongs to my amazing husband
Personality
Una has a hard time getting along with most people. She's introvert, sardonic, and brutally honest to the point of coming across as abrasive to her people.
She comes across as cold and unempathetic, even to her family, and she's not exactly popular amongst her female peers due to some of her promiscuous tendencies. She isn't the type to sleep with every male that approaches her, but she does have a high sex drive and that has lead her to get on the dick of various tribesmen, in particular the warriors. Some of which already had lovers, or even mates.
All in all, she's considered a difficult person and therefore she's more of less avoided by the other tribespeople. Which doesn't bother her too much, as the solitary life of a scout leads her to spend more time on her own than with them anyway.
Perhaps it would only be fitting that the first person she ever formed a genuine connection with would be an enemy like Omimeh.
Background/History
Una was born as a member of a large tribe of felids, where your species often dictated what role you would fill.
Sabretooths were often born into the roles of warriors. Lions as hunters.
As a cheetah, Una was destined to become a scout.
Scouts were considered the lowest ranks, yet still one of the most useful. They were the ones who patrolled the territory around the tribe's many changing settlements. Their duty were to watch for enemies such as canids or feral raptors, track for the hunters, and keep their eyes on the prey herds the tribe followed. Often, they would live in shelters and caches outside the settlement, either alone or in pairs.
Una was one of those who preferred being alone. Due to her disagreeable nature she had grown up outside the normal social circles of those of the same age, and gotten accustomed to it.
She learned to never crave or yearn for the appreciation or approval of others, and this lonesome lifestyle suited her perfectly for her role.
She grew up to be a damn good scout too, and there were paths and herds she practically owned. She would only go back to the tribe for resupplies when necessary, but most of the time she would be able to go for weeks on end self-sufficiently.
However, Una felt her lonesomeness turn into distrust, and even disdain for her tribe. It even got to the point that she refused to partake in the yearly mating season, when it became her time to bond with a lifelong partner. Knowing that this would seal her forever to the tribe, and even if there wasn't anywhere else for her to go if she were to leave for good, it was just a thought she couldn't stand.
That is, she didn't have anywhere to go before one fateful day, when she would encounter a sworn enemy to her tribe.
The canids had been hostile with the felids for as long as anyone could remember. Disputes over territory and prey had often turned bloody, and the amounts of lives claimed on both sides had resulted in ancient, deep rooted, instinctual hatred for each other.
His name was Omimeh, and Una had encountered the lonely dire wolf on a routine check of a herd of longhorned bison she had been tracking for a few days.
At first, she had been too preoccupied with the bison herd's tracks, as well as a few concerning raptor tracks, to notice him. As was he.
But when the two rivalling predators spotted each other, it became a matter of life and death immediately.
Knowing that she wouldn't be able to survive against the much larger dire wolf, known warriors of the canid people, Una took the first opportunity to flee she got. She couldn't fight him, but she sure as hell could outrun him!
Unfortunately she didn't get very far, as her running had caught the attention of a lurking utahraptor. The movements triggered the raptor's hunting reflex, and without as much as a warning, she found herself pounced by the feathered beast.
Having gone from a bad spot to an even worse one she feared her life would end. If it hadn't been for the dire wolf.
Somehow, for some unknown reason, the dire wolf threw himself at the raptor with a roar, and after wrestling the creature for what felt like an eternity, but probably didn't last more than a few seconds, the dire wolf broke its neck and emerged as victor. Until, the severe wounds the raptor's curved claws made him collapse as well.
Part of her was going to just leave the dire wolf to succumb to his wounds, but something stopped her. He had saved her life, and now she had a debt to pay.
She managed to stop the worst of the bleeding before dragging the unconscious canid to the nearest shelter, one she knew only she used.
He was in critical shape, but through some divine intervention from the canids' savage gods, or his own sheer stubbornness, he survived.
At first, the two age old enemies were very wary of each other, but eventually they found themselves not only getting along, but also enjoying each others company. To the point where Una decided to finally choose her mate...
