And what better way to start the new year, then with "Baby New Year!"

See, I didn't forget about you Kiddy/Dinky Kong fans! ...all two of you out there... that said, while Donkey Kong Country 3 is definitely the weakest in the series-(at least as far as I've played, my opinion might sway if I ever play 64, Donkey Konga, Barrel Blast and whatever random DK titles exist out there that no one cares about)-in recent years, I've come to appreciate it more. It's certainly not the best, but it's far from the worst!

Of course the largest point of contention is always aimed at the character of Kiddy Kong (Dinky Kong in Japan) and while I do understand, I hold to the idea that Kiddy could be salvaged, he just needs a lot more TLC then he and his game was given as a whole. Firstly, make his design not nauseatingly ugly! Make him so that he's adorable to the point of being a parody of the whole trope, then really played up the super strong toddler aspect! Sort of like the Flintstones' Bam Bam but far more of a holy terror to all those around him. Cute? Sure, but also an unstoppable force of nature that could easily snap even DK like a twig that no one knows what to do with!

Sadly with that said, he's still not the best of ideas for characters and it makes sense that even forgotten Kongs like Lanky are more remembered then poor ole' Kiddy
