In my extended universe that I'm making up as I go along, the names Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen are titles that are passed down from the original reindeer. New recruits are being trained all the time in case a replacement is needed, temporary or otherwise. With all of his experience as a deer, Oliver's been promoted to instructor and is now training the newest trainee, Elliot.
