Meet my newest cub. I adopted this guy from meganlaclucas from DA. Details about him can be seen on the picture.

Tabor was born a male cub in Africa, but he wasn’t born in the open fields. Tabor was brought into the world buy his lioness mother, Pamela. Tabor was raised in a large series of caves from the moment he was born. His mother Pamela, was rather overprotective and paranoid. She worried for the safety of her son and so she forbade him from leaving the cave.

Tabor had never set foot outside the cave, not even seen the entrance. There were several small openings in the cave with a view of the clear blue sky, but that was all Tabor was able to see. Tabor was rather bored growing up inside the cave, but found things to do. Whenever his mother went out to hunt, she would seal the entrance. Tabor would run around the caves and learn the tunnels. He became good at running and jumping and was able to find areas where he could hide.

Whenever his mother brought home food, Tabor always asked questions about what animals she hunted and what is was like outside, but would never give him a straight answer. The one thing that Tabor hated about the caves was the bugs living in it, and the fact it got cold at night.

One night, Tabor was awakened by the sound of laughing and woke his mother. He went to hide after Pamela told her son to do so. Tabor was hiding behind some rocks as he saw a pack of Hyenas entering the cave and approaching his mother. He watched as they fought, but the Hyenas overpowered his mother. Suddenly, the ground shook as an earthquake began. Tabor saw the rock around the caves cracking and realizing that the cave was about to collapse, he made a run for the entrance. He was able to make it out just in time before the cave collapsed.

Tabor knew that there was no way his mother could've survived. He cried and ran away from the cave. He had no idea where he was going, so Tabor stopped for the night and took a rest. He awoke the next morning to see the sunrise for the very first time. It was also the first time Tabor saw the world.

Tabor began walking towards the mountains from where the sun rose. He saw grass, rivers, trees, and many animals and birds. Tabor was only able to survive on the fruit that fell from trees and river water. Tabor walked for two days, until he he arrived at a valley that was a sight to behold.

As he traveled through the thick trees, Tabor heard laughter. He followed the source and watched through the tall grass as he saw other lions having fun. Tabor was worried they would see him and turned, but was spooked by a spider and jumped though the grass.

Tabor moved back nervously after the other lions noticed him, but was approached by a male adult lion with similar fur and mane as Tabor, but green eyes. The lion told Tabor he had nothing to fear, then introduced himself as Yonas. Tabor then introduced himself to the lions. When asked where he was from, Tabor told them he was from a cave and the lions found that strange. Tabor then told them about his life and what happened to his mother. Yonas then directed his chin to his gaze and told Tabor they would show him the world.

Tabor was rather happy that the pride took him in as their own. He learned a lot from the pride, about the lands, animals, how to hunt and have fun. Tabor played with the other Cubs and made great friends with them. He did have a habit of sleeping in a tiny cave every night because it reminded him of home.

Tabor remembered the good times he had with his mother and felt Yonas was like a father to him. Tabor was very happy with his new life, for he now had friends, a home and Yonas to look after him.
