"I gots it! I gots it!-*Crash!*" shouted Caiden as he attempted to catch a slightly overthrown ball from Bingo, but ended up tripping and crashing into a pile of toys on the ground, "Aw nuts. Jus missed it!"
Caiden was spending the afternoon at the Heeler's house for a playdate with Bingo. Bluey and her mom were out for the day so it was just the two little five year old Bingo and three year old Caiden.
"Alright, what are you two wallabies getting up to?" asked Bandit as he walked into the playroom after hearing the commotion.
"We're throwing the bouncy ball to each other!" explained Bingo.
"Yeahs! An'...." started Caiden as he quickly sifted through the pile of toys he was in and found the ball and presented it to Bandit, "...Jus' founds it!"
"Aw right! Solid find there kiddo." commented Bandit as he reached for the ball but suddenly stopped as he caught a pungent whiff coming from somewhere around Caiden, "Oof, I think it's time for a change there big guy."
"AAwww....Do I haveto...?" whined Caiden from the pile of toys.
"'fraid so little man. C'mon, let's go find Chilli." replied Bandit as he scooped up Caiden under his arm.
"But dad! Mom took Bluey to her party! Remember?" reminded Bingo to her father.
"Oh yeah..." said Bandit as he suddenly realized that he would have to deal with this stinky situation and stood Caiden on the ground in front of him, "...Aw Biscuits! Looks like it's you and me that's going to have to tackle this nappy change bud."
"Can I help?!" asked Bingo with her tail wagging.
"Sure! Why don't you go get his diaper bag and bring it in here while I set up the changing pad." suggested Bandit as he grabbed the changing pad and laid it out.
"Okay!" shouted Bingo as she went to the entry way, grabbed the diaper bag, brought it back to playroom, and set it next to her father.
"Alright mate, go ahead and lay down and let's get this over with." instructed Bandit as Caiden reluctantly obeyed, but laid just out of reach of Bandit, "C'mon little Caleb, you don't want a rash."
Caiden huffed and crossed his arms as Bandit grabbed one of his ankles and dragged him closer.
"It's Caiden, dad! Not Caleb!" corrected Bingo as she giggled.
"What? That's what I said!" replied Bandit
"Nah uh!" said Bingo and Caiden simultaneously.
"All right all right, keep your pants on." teased Bandit as he slipped Caiden's shorts off and set them aside, "Except you of course, gotta get a clean nappy on you. Now where's that diaper bag..."
Bandit reached for where he thought the bag was, but it wasn't there.
"Here dad!" announced Bingo as she had moved the bag closer to her so she could be more of a help.
"Ah yeah. Thanks Bingo!" said Bandit as he grabbed the new diaper that Bingo was holding out of her hand.
Bandit then started the not-so-fun part of babysitting a baby or toddler. Through many funny coughs and gags from Bandit and the superb help from Bingo (with one hand too as her other hand was plugging her nose) the task of changing Caiden's nappy was complete.
"Phew! There, all better. You two can go and play now." said Bandit as he put the supplies away.
"Thank you Mister Bingo's dad..." thanked Caiden as his mood improved from just moments ago.
"No worries kiddo, but you know what you need to do next time right?" asked Bandit as Caiden shook his head 'no', "You gotta go find Chilli and ask her. She loves helping with that kind of stuff."
"DDaaDDddd....No she doesn't!" chided Bingo.
"I know, I know...I was just teasing." replied Bandit as they all had a laugh and a fun rest of the day.
