I bought a bunch of 8x10 paintings a little while back and I decided to use my favorite Mouse Guard character, Saxon.

I'm really happy with how it came out, though I wish paintings were easier to photograph! As with most traditional art, it looks better in person.

But enjoy nonetheless, and read the graphic novels if you have a chance, they are amazing!

I picked up Mouse Guard on a whim from a bookstore one day. Lovely, lovely book. But I honestly never tripped over or sought any fan works of it. Until now! Heck I wanna go flip through it again now <3

You should, it is a beautiful book, and his art style only gets better and more unique. There's 2 books out, a fall and winter, as well as a Tales of the Guard book, which is an interesting piece. It's like an anthology from several different graphic novelists, with his work as the framing device. Basically, all the mice are at a bar, and the mouse with the best story gets their tab for free. The losers pay on the spot. Each mouse's story is done by a different artist. Kind of a neat concept.
