Character Description
Avery is a Mobian cat of average height with a fairly curvaceous figure. She has a dark pink fur with purple highlights and streaks. She wears a loose-flowing top and tight jeans at her job as the owner of a library.
When she dawns her uniform as a Green Lantern, she wears a skin-tight glowing green and black suit created by her power ring, and her purple highlights and streaks turn a matching green.
Personality
Avery has a strong sense of justice when it comes to what she believes in. She'll always fight for what she feels is right, and will never back down with her indominable will.
Likes/Dislikes
When not fighting crime or tyranny, Avery loves to sit back with a cup of coffee and read. She frequents coffee shops and loves to spend time with the other librarians she works with.
Obviously, thanks to her time in the Resistance, she has a great distaste for Doctor Eggman, and all forms of tyranny and injustice. As such, she not only jumps into the fray when she can, but she travels her sector of the galaxy whenever she needs to fight evil.
Background/History
Avery was born and raised in Sunset City, growing up with a rather simple life. Raised by her parents, going to school, working at the local library, and eventually growing to become the head librarian by the time she was 20. Despite her rather meager upbringing, Avery never missed a chance to defend her city. She first heard the name Doctor Robotnik when she was sixteen, and ever since she did what she could to defend her home. However, one day... everything changed. The day Eggman's siege of the planet began after Sonic the Hedgehog was defeated. Avery didn't hesitate for a second. She entered the battlefield and became determined to free not simply her city, but the world of Eggman's tyranny.
She fought with vigor, never backing down in the face of danger and seeing her way to the end of the fight. However, on one fateful fight, it seemed she'd meet her end. She was the only person left in her squad, the rest of her team cut down by Eggman's robots and Shadow Illusions. Despite this, she never gave up. Even as her Wispons ran out of ammo, she never backed down. Her indominable will saw her through, and she intended to fight till' the bitter end. However, that changed upon a green flash of light wiping away her enemies and basking Avery. She was told a few simple words by a voice echoing in her mind...
"Avery the Cat of Mobius. You have shown great courage and force of Will in the face of fear and doubt. Welcome... To the Green Lantern Corps."
From then on, Avery was not merely some librarian from Sunset City. She was now not only a defender of her world, but her galactic sector as a whole. She was Avery the Cat: The Green Lantern.
Relatives/Family
As it stands, the only living relative Avery has left is her elderly mother. She helps to care for her, and uses her finances as a library owner to support her mother.
World/Setting
Avery lives in a small home she owns in Sunset City with her mother, taking care of her while she balances her job as a librarian and overseer of the library, and her responsibilities as Green Lantern.
