Cubbi hopped around for a bit longer before regaing his composure.
Harold chuckle in spite of himself.
"I'm glad everyone finds this so funny." Cubbi said, almost pouting.
"It is. I mean it really is funny." Harold giggled, "You know as much as I like watching you get hurt, Here-" He showed the boy a better way to defend. Using a forward stance a low guard Harold actually showed him several basic moves that could defend against a variety of attacks. He worked with him for a while, transitioning from stance to stance, and learning to control his wild swings.
They went back to sparring and the Older Squire decided to go easy on him. The day was nearly half over anyway.
