So, the following Saturday Cubbi woke up bright and early to make his way out to the big district park near the Cathedral. When he arrived, however, he wasn’t sure if he was in the right place. Gritti and a few other adults were there but there were several boys standing around with varied gear and practice weapons. Boys his own age! He was so stunned he wasn’t quite sure what to do at first. The silence was broken when the other boys saw him coming…
“Seriously though, the fool’s entrance is in the rear… where it should be.”, “ I didn’t know the circus was in town.” And on and on they went. Cubbi simply stood there absorbing their insults.
“I am here to learn the sword.” Cubbi stated, dutifully, even if his voice trembled a bit.
“Yes, crumpet, we know that,” Said Ulrik, “YOU should know that this opportunity is extraordinarily rare.”
“I do. I truly do.” the boy said, bowing slightly, "From where did you come?” Inquired Cubbi, “I’ve never seen any of you before.”
“We arrived on the second Trek, late last month. Now that everything has moved from the Woods, we can start training with the knights again.”
“Trek?”
“….You’ll see.” smiled Ulrik. “Soon enough, you’ll see.”

ULRIK; The oldest and de-facto leader. Staunch but fair. Trust is hard earned but absolutely worth it.
HAROLD; His number one and second oldest, a bit slow but fiercely loyal.
ALEXANDER; Cubbi’s rival and a firebrand. Short tempered and in a big hurry to prove himself.
ROLF; The brute with a heart of gold.
