Tavi heard through the grape vine about Ling Ling's magical powers and wanted to see for himself. Ling Ling was more than happy to demonstrate some of the magic she knew. Unfortunately she still doesn't have much knowledge on certain spells so the results don't always go they way she planned. So when she attempted to change the color of Tavi's shortalls, she instead made them a ghost, which in turn caused them to fall down. Once Ling Ling stopped the shortalls became a physical object again, but they were plopped down around Tavi's ankles thus leaving his diaper exposed. Tavi wasn't upset by this though, after all, Ling Ling proved to him that she was magical.
