“Spider is not an insect, so what?”

It has been more than 4 years that I have been working on Chaos Future. I want to take some break from it. So I decided to put Chaos Future on hiatus and work on another story just to break away from the norm. Hope you understand and wish you enjoy the new story! >w<

in answer to the question: yes, I knew.  I had an elementary class that taught the difference between insects and arachnids.

Yes, I knew that spiders aren't classified as insects.  However, they are both arthropods.

Panic takes priority over technical fact analysis.

It's not obvious to me as someone who is not a magical expert on the universe of Equestria that the physical distinctions mentioned should mean Chrysalis' newfound ability to talk to insects would not work on other arthropods such as spiders. Nor that it would work, for that matter. seems like asking/trying would be the only way to find out. (Unless there's some well-known magical distinctiveness between the two that Twilight should have known/remembered. Twilight Sparkle is, after all, a magical expert on the universe of Equestria.)

Well if she didn't ask then how else would she find out this important information about what Chrysalis can and can't do?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t all insects have wings outside of their larval stage?  IIRC even non-breeding ants have wings, but they’re vestigial, not functioning, and quite small.
