Not all The Terrible Trucks are just based on German/European/Northern Nathan/Australian freight wagons and American freight cars, The Terrible Trucks are also British trucks too as Northern Nathan back in the early days of Northern Nathan Railway (pre-grouping, grouping and N.N.R days), Northern Nathan railway companies have owned, acquired and built hundreds and thousands of British built open trucks.

As their name states, The Terrible Trucks are naughty, troublesome, tricky and mischievous. They like to cause trouble to the locomotives. Despite this, The Terrible Trucks are somewhat on the same side as the other locomotives as they distrust Nat O Bad and they would trick him into misbehaving. They’re hardly well behaved but they will pay the locomotives out based on their rough treatment.

The faces on The Terrible Trucks are based on the Troublesome Trucks from Thomas & Friends.
