This is why I never cry at funerals.

Staging the burial atop one of several cartoonish domed hills is an old whimsy art trope that I appreciate.

I've been in way too many funerals (and only in one wedding) and I have never shed a tear in funerals. I cry like mad when my pets have died, but human relative? Like my grandmother for example. Nope. Not even one tear, not even feeling sad.

Ahaha, thanks! I just wanted something simple and quick even that I had completely different art pic in my head for this funeral theme.

I have been too close to the final days of most of my relatives' lives, myself, to weep at their passing. I saw their pain and total deficit of fucks left to give, so why would I mourn their escape? Remarkably, I wept rather hard upon the death of Christopher Reeve. I remain surprised and amazed by that reaction.

The whimsy of your Halloween gallery is why I truly enjoy it so. After so much high-detail, hyper-realistic digital rendering from everyone, to see such easy-on-the-eyes, casual art is a treat... and not a trick. I hope.

I agree with you! Why cry and grief when someone, who's been suffering bad / hard (long or not too long) is finally free from their suffering? Of course I say this easily about humans but when it comes to pets, I've always cry more or less hard - depending on the depth of the bond what I've had with the animal.

Thank you! I think sometimes simple arts are the best. There, indeed, is so much arts with all kind of details, lights, shadows, backgrounds, angles etc. Besides I didn't have time (nor energy) to start to do any too detailed and slow working process arts with this daily list since I was so far behind :'D
