Based on a roleplay I'm doing over at Discord involving "Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa" along with adding and playing our own OCs based on the show, where Sarah Sheep has already opened up her own sweet shop bakery that folks come in for a taste of what they order with the many pies, cakes, brownies, scones, ice creams, cookies, muffins, pastries, and rolls. She knew one of Dakota's favorites was a coffee cake and made it just the way she knew he would like it while making the rest of the chicken pot pie and apple pie for Moo Montana and Cowlorado. And of course Boot Hill Buzzard became one of her later customers that came in for the meat pies she cooks, and didn't cause trouble. And the thing is that Sarah holds no ill will against him when giving what he asked for, feeling there is something about him that she just can't really hate about him like some others in Cow Town do. Whatever it is, Sarah keeps it to herself, not wanting to look like a meddler to anyone, and doesn't ask Mayor Bulloney about it after he comes for the cheese pastries. And just when she is about to close up shop by the time the Cowboys seem late than usual from their patrol, a diabolical crow like creature breaks into the bakery, terrorizing Sarah Sheep and her adoptive son Taylor that she ends up going out the back door, running for her life down the street, passing by Boot Hill that steps outside the mayor's office when wondering what the commotion is all about, and Sarah has no time to stop, other than warn him to go back inside and lock the doors as she rushes over to Marshall Moo's office, unaware of what has happened a second ago.
By the time that Marshall Moo finds a terrified Miss Sheep outside his office and the unidentified crow at the top, having the ability to mimic voices (voice disguise) and flies off somewhere. Afterward Marshall Moo has Miss Sheep go inside his office where Dakota and Cowlorado are in there as he goes over to investigate the damage to the bakery and discovers Boot Hill lying in the snow, unconscious from a head injury that was suspected to be caused by the same assailant that attacked Miss Sheep, forcing Marshall Moo to check his pulse and carry him carefully into the office of Dr. Bernard Barker, leaving him in his care as he is still going out to see if the assailant left any clues around. But it appears that this crow is more sneaky and dangerous than anyone in Cow Town thought, especially when Dr. Barker is distracted by caring for Boot Hill that he thinks Marshall Moo entered when it is actually the assailant that uses voice disguise to fool him enough to shoot him in the foot and make a mockery of his pain, revealing to the doctor that he intends to swipe Boot Hill away and collect the bounty placed on his head, refusing to say who sent him and where he came from, and goes outside where he is confronted by Marshall Moo who demands to know why he would terrorize Miss Sheep if he's a lawman as he claims to be, revealing his name to be James Cadaverson Crowley, bounty hunter and claims it was an honest mistake breaking into the bakery and scaring the town baker when he caught scent of Boot Hill into Cow Town and thought she was hiding him inside. Marshall Moo is hardly convinced after hearing the gunshot in the doctor's office and won't like it if he finds that their beloved town doctor is hurt because of Crowley, which again the assailant makes a mockery impersonating Dr. Barker's voice about being discovered and throws a cloud of sand at the Marshall to make his escape, warning him that he has until the next full moon to hand Boot Hill over to him or else he will return with the Dark Rider and all the Hounds of Hell to take him by force and flies away out of sight. Whatever that means, all Marshall Moo and Dr. Barker knew was that as long as Boot Hill stayed in Cow Town, he was in danger and everyone else would be, meaning since Dr. Barker was in no condition to care for him with his injured foot, he had to be taken to the Dog Town Hospital filled with some of the best doctors, nurses, and staff in Moo Mesa that will give him what he needs to recover, but must get him there fast, leaving Marshall Moo to wire for the hospital ambulance and follow the doctor's instructions on everything that happened and what should be required for Boot Hill's condition, even warn them about Crowley being out there to put the hospital and Dog Town on high alert in case the crow shows up too soon.
In the meantime, the bakery will be closed until the door is repaired, and the Cowboys will be out there searching for Crowley to see if there are any leads or witnesses that encountered him, hoping to find answers to where he came from and who he is working with, even looking at a list of previous villains they encountered before in case any of them have some kind of connection with Crowley. And they're wondering why he's so obsessive with trying to capture Boot Hill, wondering if there were any other crimes he might have been involved in that they didn't know about, which they are trying to find out. In the Dog Town Hospital, Boot Hill will be under the care of Dr. Maximus Mutt and Nurse Connie who have seen patients that have suffered from head injuries and the symptoms that come with it involving mood swings, loss of memory, sensitivity to noise and light, loss of consciousness, and inability to speak properly, as the only sound coming out of Boot Hill is "Mama" and nothing more. Until he shows signs of speaking normally again and waking up, Boot Hill will stay where he is for the doctors and nurses to see the results of his condition.
