I also wrote a little thing to go along with it, nothing good, its supposed to read like an excerpt from a larger piece. Just trying to practice my writing
"So I told him and he got all freaking ticked off at me, started going on about jack and all this other crap"
Pink pulled the joint away from his mouth, exhaling slowly so as to watch the smoke cloud his vision. Gordon sighed and took another sip from his soda, "I mean like, what's it even matter to him what book I do?" Gordon continued
"He's just mad that Jack picked it" Pink interjected with a cough, "Your dad is retarded, hes just mad at jack and taking it out on you" He finished, marking the end of his sentence with another pull from his joint.
Gordon kicked some of the rocks at his feet, and swung slightly on his swing, "I know" He flipped some of his hair out of his face, "it would just be nice if I didn't have to deal with it"
"Yeah.." Pink took another hit off of his joint, letting the silence linger. He pushed his swing a little for fun, rocking back and forth as the cool breeze danced across his scalp. It was a cool autumn evening, and the two boys found themselves in a play ground not too far from Pink's house. The spot was a popular hangout for delinquents due to the low presence of adults, making it a convenient spot to smoke in peace. Pink put the joint to his lips one last time before Gordon broke the silence, looking up at Pink
"You hear what happened to Jimmy?"
"Mmm? No what happened?" Pink said, turning to look at the snake
"His mom came to town and I guess no one told her that he was living with Randy"
