Previously on Galarian Days...
Our heroes are made aware of the Miniasma project set to go live in three days, but at the realization of the fact that only one place in all of Galar still has an untapped supply of Galar particles: the Max Lair. As Sophia is sent there to be kept safe, Zander, Wufu and Calvin set out to defend the lair just as Elle and Turner come in from the station... but then turn around and go back after an anticlimactic talk, leaving the anthros unaware that they were being recorded...
-
"...and then they just turned around and left," Zander said, wrapping up his conversation with Sophia and Peony, as well as the latter's daughter Peonia.
"Huh," Sophia said in response. "Well, the plus side is they didn't take the particles. That's something."
"Oh, boy, thanks for the consolation," Wufu retorted sarcastically.
"Hey, don't knock it," Peony defended. "Sometimes when you set out with a goal, you're not so lucky to accomplish it."
"Wait a second," Calvin asked. "You failed to achieve a goal?"
"Still am," Peony explained, but Zander cut him off.
"We'll have to get into that later," Zander said. "Right now, the matter at paw is that we only have three days to stop the opposite crisis once and for all, and the only way I can think of to do that is to put the kibosh on this Miniasma project before the deadline comes."
"Okay, and how exactly do we do that?" Calvin challenged.
"By heading over to Eternal Island and destroying the remains of the Dynamiasmas so they can't be restructured into Miniasmas, but return to being Galar particles and keep Galar's Dynamax energy supply alive."
"Then let's get a move on already!" Wufu said, ready to rush off.
"Hold your tater for once!" Calvin interjected. "We don't even know where this island is or how to get there!"
"But we can find out," Zander said as he looked up Eternal Island on his phone. "Modern technology, what can't it help you find a solution to?" But after entering the keywords into the search box... no results came up. "Apparently this."
"Should've known Elle wouldn't disclose information about a private island to the public," Wufu muttered.
"Wait, let me try something." Zander then checked the map app and panned it right to reveal a small clump of land west of Galar. "Found it!" He then zoomed in on the clump to reveal tiny colored specks. "Here it is, Eternal Island, Dynamiasma remains and all!"
"Okay, good work finding it," Calvin supposed, "but how would we get there?"
"Well," Zander said, glancing slyly at Calvin, "only one of us messengers has yet to demonstrate his powers, and one of them could help us cross the ocean to get there."
"Me?" Calvin asked in surprise.
"Yes, you. Calyrex said that you can pull out carrots from your basket to summon his steeds, and they will serve you without fail. All you would have to do once we get to a western coast is summon Glastrier with an Iceroot, and it can freeze the ocean waters to make an ice bridge to the island!"
"What western coast, then? Galar doesn't have one of those!"
"Au contraire, mon frere. It's a bit of a trek, but there is a point where Galar opens up to the west... near Dyna Tree Hill. We'll start the ice bridge there, then move up towards the Wild Area from the outside shores before we turn left and make our way to the island. I know, it's a bit of a convoluted plan, but we don't have a lot of available options here."
"May I say something?" Sophia interjected.
"You may," Zander said after he, Wufu and Calvin pivoted their heads towards her.
"I don't see how I would be of any help in this situation," she said as she gestured waving hands around the three anthros, "so I would like to go home, please and thank you."
"Hey, I wasn't forcing you to come with me to the Isle of Armor before the Cup," Zander reasoned, "and no one's forcing you to stay here. You're free to go or stay of your own accord."
"Thank you," Sophia said as she made her way back to the station. "Good luck stopping the opposite crisis."
"Thanks," Wufu said, then started his recap. "Okay, so we're headed down to Dyna Tree Hill to start an ice bridge there, moving up to the outside of th Wild Area, turning left, then starting the trip to this Eternal Island where we'll wreck everything there and finally stop the opposite crisis. Got it!"
"Then let's go!" Zander said before he checked the counter on his phone. "We only have 2 days, 20 hours and 42 minutes before the project rolls out!"
As the three anthros hurried out of the cave with their goal in mind, Peonia looked around and said, "What, I don't get to have a line in all this?"
"First want your dad back in your life," Zander said, "then we'll talk." And with that, our heroes were on their way to the bottom of Galar...
