Confidence and the magi were in the black top hat holding there own meeting since they heard of the rising threat with Noheart and his new apprentice that Wish, and Tenderheart bear claimed they uncovered the identity of. But in a near skirmish on earth, Wish and Tenderheart were nearly captured by Professor Cold Heart as him and Noheart were seemingly in league together and planning a major invasion of Carelot soon which had all cousins, carebears, and even the magi a bit on edge.
"Everyone, we are now facing the looming threats with our enemies becoming more and more bold. Never before in the year that we have been here has anyone ever dared to attack any member of the carebear family since we made it a point to protect them from all threats. Even threats from humans that dared to get between them and there caring mission." Loveheart bear pointed out. "But apparently, our carebear family and cousins canceled all caring missions because they no longer feel safe going down to earth ever since this attack that Coldheart did."
"Why would they doubt that we can protect them? We also have Aqua bear and Lonesomeheart bear they can call upon to protect them on these caring missions." Confidence said scratching her head.
"I don't know Confidence," Loveheart said lifting his paws into a shrug. "But until we find out what Cold Heart and Noheart are up to along with his so called new apprentice that is the way of things till we can assure the safety of all members of the carebear family. That said, we need to build our defenses since our intelligence we got from Sweetheart and Anger Heart confirmed that Noheart is indeed planning a full scale attack to destroy Carelot so we must be ready for anything!" Loveheart bear said to the other magi which consisted of Lifeheart unicorn, Sage Heart bear, Guidance Heart raccoon, Anger Heart fox, Defiant Heart badger, Confidence Heart fennec, and Passion Heart wolverine.
"We'll be ready for Noheart and his so called army and will crush them!" Passion Heart said banging the table and nearly breaking it in half.
"Here! Here Passion! When they come we will show them no mercy even if that means killing them!" Confidence heart said raising her fist as the other magi all lifted up there arms in unison.

In the hall of hearts Tenderheart bear and Wish bear called a caring meeting and gave them the results of there investigation concerning Noheart's new apprentice with all cousins and carebears present.
"As you all know, we been investigating Joaquin for sometime and we now know his full name." Wish bear said smiling. "But sadly he has not been seen for over ten years and we do believe he is working with Noheart." She said looking down sadly as Tenderheart responded talking into the red heart-shaped mic.
"As grim as that may seem, we can't allow any harm to come to him. We must convince Joaquin that we are not the ones who killed his parents and we need to order the magi he is not to be harmed or killed." Tenderheart bear said in a matter of fact tone of voice.
"That will be hard to make them follow that order, but since they are our protectors from evil, since they agreed to protect us and follow the founders orders as condition of them having this role, they must obediently follow it." Trueheart said as all the bears and cousins agreed sighing in relief that the founders were not ordering a possibly innocent bystandard who got twisted by Noheart to be killed by the magi.
"Trueheart, what about the looming threat and possible invasion of Carelot?" Grumpy bear inquired as many of the bears looked at each other in grave concern of this as she banged the gavel silencing the room.
"As for that, we will all prepare together the defenses of Carelot along with our magi allies to defend Carelot no matter what. The kill or capture orders at no matter the cost for Coldheart, Noheart, or any of our enemies still stands. But Joaquin is not to be harmed, even if he attacks or harms one of us." Trueheart said as the bears and cousins all nodded smiling at this. "Meeting adjourned!" She said banging the gavel as Nobleheart and her went to talk to Loveheart bear leader of the magi.

Loveheart bear, Lifeheart unicorn, and Sage Heart bear met at the black top hat alone with the founders as they went over the details of there plan of action.
Loveheart looked dismayed and disapproval as he looked at Trueheart. "You've got to be kidding me? You're willing to put us and the carebear family at risk just to redeem one human who may attack us with extreme hatred?"
Trueheart bear sighed before answering. "Yes Loveheart bear, Joaquin is innocent in this and he was presented with false evidence of us killing his parents when in truth it was Noheart who did this and possibly twisted his mind to his side to do evil deeds for him."
"If he works for Noheart that makes him just as guilty and we shouldn't hold back on him just because he has a saddened sob story." Loveheart said narrowing his eyes at Trueheart. "Please Trueheart, its already bad enough that Coldheart recently attacked two members of the carebear family, a point has to be made that won't go unanswered so that you can resume your caring missions in peace and everyone on earth including the people you help understand that if anyone tries anything to any member of our family they will answer for it."
"I'm sorry Loveheart bear but our orders are clear," Trueheart said shaking her head. "The kill orders will remain in place for Cold heart, and Noheart, and any other main villain cept for there minions who truly pose no threat without them ordering them around, but we will not condone the killing of a possibly innocent man who got corrupted by Noheart's influence." Trueheart said standing firm on that point.
"Also as soldiers, before you joined us, you took a vow to be our protectors from all evil under the condition you don't disobey the wishes of the founders or its leaders." Nobleheart reminded him kindly as Loveheart rubbed his head in frustration.
"They are right Loveheart bear," Sage Heart bear pointed out. "As easy as it would be to take a life, it is not acceptable to kill someone who truly does not know what they are doing, even if it does place the rest of us in danger"
"Even when we were down on earth we never raised you to be without honor and compassion Loveheart." Lifeheart unicorn said. "Besides, I know things have been getting tough for you and the magi to hold up your promise to protect the carebear family, but the Great Wishing Star did say when we were sworn in as there protectors and being part of this family that we would face trials and times of testing." Lifeheart pointed out.
"Yeah if we compromise any of those values, no matter the reason for it, then we break our vow and we can't do that. That's what seperates us from those that are evil." Sage Heart pointed out as Loveheart grimaced his teeth.
"Fine, I'll pass this order along, but I am telling you this is not the right decision." Loveheart protested as he stomped his way out of the room.
"Are you sure he can be trusted to follow this ordinance you two?" Nobleheart inquired.
"He maybe young and a bit, but his will is strong, but he will follow them." Lifeheart said assuredly.
"I hope so, because if they harm him, that would certainly complicate things between us." Nobleheart said truly concerned about this as he feared the young leader would not follow there orders in not harming there caring target as he watched him leave having his doubts about the young magi leader.

Meanwhile on the front lines of Carelot two hours later, the carebear family was digging cloud trenches, along with cloud bags for safety measures, and also set up a few traps for there soon to becoming invaders as Wish bear and Tenderheart were talking quietly amongst themselves.
"So, do you think we have a chance to beat them and to convince Joaquin to join our side?" Wish bear inquired who didn't look as optimistic and needed some encouragement
"We always have a chance Wish bear, especially with our protectors on our side along with Lonesomeheart and Aqua bear. Said the brown ursine smiling as Wish bear smiled back as this helped her to relax a bit as they were stacking up cloud bags together as they also kept a look out for any signs of Cold Heart and Noheart's forces as several carebears and cousins were also working in haste.

Loveheart bear had just met with all of his magi family cept for his parents as he silenced Anger and Defiant's usual bickering before he passed on the orders.
"What? You mean were suppose to hold back and not harm Noheart's apprentice even though he might kill one of us or one of the members of the carebear family?" Confidence said swinging her tail back and forth.
"That's bullshit Loveheart bear!" Passion Heart wolvering said gritting his teeth as Redemptionheart bear was there and looked at her mate annoyed. "Oh sorry love, I didn't mean to cuss." Her expression softened as she rubbed his abs and arms smiling at him.
"Yeah, that is not wise to do! I don't think this is a order we should follow Loveheart bear. The founders are clearly deluded since we have intel that concludes this new threat of Noheart's apprentice has been training for ten years for his so called revenge and I don't think now is the time to hold back on him." Anger heart said grasping his fist with his three tails curling behind tucking underneath his back.
"I concur Anger Heart fox, which is why we are NOT going to follow those orders!" Loveheart bear said as all the magi cept for Redemptionheart who covered her mouth in shock as all the magi cheered. "So with that said, no one is to be spared, and if you get the chance to kill them, take it. Will just say it was a accident." Loveheart bear said.
"No! How could you go against the orders of the founders like that? You took a vow to protect the carebear family, and part of that was to follow orders." Redemptionheart bear said in shock.
"This is war Redemptionheart," Loveheart bear said slamming his paws down against the table. "This is not the time to be virtuous, this is the time for action."
"If that's how your going to play that out, I will have no part in this." Redemptionheart bear said.
"Stop her." Confidence said as Anger heart stepped in front of her.
"Get out of my way Anger Heart, I might be a magi, but my duty is first and foremost to the founders and the great wishing star, and I will not be part of this secret betrayal of this order." She said crossing her arms.
"Let her go Anger Heart," Loveheart bear said. "But with you being part of the magi family you can't let anyone know about this cause if you do this will cause all kinds of mistrust with the magi and the founders."
"I will let anyone know, I will not lie for you Loveheart bear, or for anyone here" Redemptionheart bear said looking at him seriously as Confidence heart smirked.
"Oh Redemptionheart heart, how would you like it if we just so happened to spill the beans on a certain purple bear you kidnapped and tickled before you let him go? We never told anyone about that, and what would the founders think if they ever found out our doctor has a tickling fetish?" Confidence said as Redemptionheart gulped.
"Please, don't tell Confidence." Redemptionheart bear said as the fennec giggled rubbing her tail teasingly underneath her chin scratching it.
"Oh we won't, we promise, and anything else you do will never be revealed, so long as you keep our secrets will keep yours. Okay?" She said in a serious tone but more playful than threatening.
"Okay, I won't tell I promise, But can you at least all try to at least capture him first? Then if necessary do your you know.." Redemptionheart bear said looking at Loveheart bear in the eyes who sighed.
"Okay Redemptionheart bear, since your part of this family we will do you this favor, but only for you." Loveheart bear said smiling.
"Thank you Loveheart." She said as she came up to him hugging him as Loveheart gently hugged her back.
"Okay, okay, now we have a battle to prepare for. Everyone, Cold Heart and Noheart are kill targets, if you can knock Darkage out to try to capture him, but don't try to kill him unless you have no other recourse." Loveheart bear said as the other magi sighed, but reluctantly agreed since they all loved the doctor as Passion Heart picked her up nuzzling noses with her as she giggled cutely in his arms closing her eyes. As the magi were wrapping up there secret meeting, they heard a explosion outside with a caring alarm sounding off.
"It is time, Magi move out!" Ordered Loveheart bear as his unicorn star lit up forming his broad sword in his hands as Confidence activated her shin guards on her knees and elbows. Sweetheart activated her star magic with light magic causing a light barrier around her body as she flew up into the air observing what was going on. Passion Heart and Redemptionheart were already on the move and disappeared into action as Passion Heart activated his ax with the dark energy flowing through his hands as he made his body half his body weight as he picked up speed running to the front lines.
Sweetheart landed back down next to Guidance and Anger Heart fox. "There here! All of Noheart's army and allies are here along with his apprentice leading the charge with Noheart's shadows, and professor Coldheart!" Sweetheart said alarmed.
"We better move fast and repel these aggressors." Anger heart said. "Guidance Heart, you be ready to help out as we report our wounded. This is going to be a very intense battle. Guidance nodded as the two went out as well as Sweetheart and Loveheart exchanged glances at each eachother as they headed out getting ready to defend Carelot.

"Carebears, your hour of doom has come! Soon the carebear family will be no more!" Noheart said triumphantly as Nobleheart and Trueheart stood staring at him at a distance in opposition with the family lined up in there stare formation.
"That's what you think Noheart! You have tried all these years, and this will be no different than all the other times you have tried! Carebears count down, 5,4,3,2,1, Carebear's stare!" Nobleheart said with all of the bears and cousins chanting the count down as there tummy symbols lit up and aimed at Noheart who quickly took cover. When they were done staring Nobleheart taunted. "Give it up Noheart while you still have the chance! Retreat back to your castle!" Then a shadow appeared carrying a duo red saber walking casually out to them boldly in the middle of the battlefield.
"Joaquin? Is that you?" Tenderheart bear said.
"That name used to be my name, but no more, my name is Darkage!" Said the figure as he was all dressed in black slacks, black shirt, with a broken red heart in the middle of his shirt. "Your all going to answer for what you did to my parents all those years ago!" Darkage said gritting his teeth.
"Darkage, it wasn't us who did that, it was Noheart who did that." Wish bear said trying to reason with him.
"Please Darkage, you must believe us, the carebear family would never attack anyone like that. We don't harm others like that in such a cruel manner." Nobleheart said trying to reason with him still.
"Lies!" Darkage retorted. "No matter, once I have you all captured and caged up, you will stand trial and be found guilty and after that, I will execute each and everyone of you myself one at a time! Ahhh!" Shimmers came charging in as Nobleheart shook his head in disbelief as they counted down.
"Were sorry Joaquin, but you give us no choice. Carebears countdown, 5,4,3,2,1, STARE!" The stares were all aimed at Darkage as he came charging in at them. Just as the stare was about to hit him, he jumped into the air and walked on there stare energy till he got to the highest point of it as he leaped off from there somersaulting forward and landing just behind the two founders who barely turned to see Shimmers duo edged saber come near there head as it was blocked just in time by a unicorn and Sage Heart bear who had there weapons drawn, one blue sword from Sage Heart, and one purple one green sword crossing swords blocking the attack.
"Get out of the way! My quarrel is not with you!" Darkage said as he tried to over come them as his saber was repelled back.
"As long as your trying to hurt them, your quarrel is with us Darkage!" Sage Heart bear challenged as he came charging in swinging his sword at Shimmers who easily blocked it.
"Very well, you two will also face the judgement once you are captured and will meet the same fate along with the rest of them!" Darkage said pushing the sword away as he kicked Sage Heart hard in the tummy as Lifeheart's horn glowed a ethereal ice blue firing a icebeam at Darkage who quickly side stepped the attack and was now facing Lifeheart as she looked at him worriedly at how fast he dodged her blast. Loveheart bear quickly stood in front of her with his sword drawn.
"Mom, dad, get to safety! I'll handle this!" He said gritting his teeth with his sword pointing at Darkage as he came charging with his sword absorbed in electricity firing it at Darkage who easily blocked it with his duo edged saber.
"Ah yes Loveheart bear is it? I've been studying up on you." Darkage said as he threw one arm back then forward knocking Loveheart ten feet backwards but somehow Loveheart bear remained on his feet with his sword still drawn in the ready. Loveheart bear's arms cackled with lightning as he struck the ground. "Lightning Strike!" He said hitting the ground as Darkage somersaulted forward up in the air as Loveheart watched helplessly in shock as his attack not only missed, he was momentarily stuck in the middle of his attack as Darkage kicked him right in the head throwing him violently to the ground. Darkage grabbed his red saber and was about to strike downwards till a pink pegasus showed up in front of him kicking with her hind legs barely missing his knees.
"Leave my big brother alone!" She said as her star lit up using the wind elemental pushing Shimmers back as he shielded his eyes as Loveheart barely managed to stand up.
"Thanks sis, now let's go get him!" Loveheart ordered as they all went in charging after him. Darkage realized he might of bitten off a bit more than he could chew as he tried to back up before Confidence Heart fennec cut off his escape route as the pegasus and lime green bear surrounded him. "Darkage, you are now surrounded!"
"Yeah there is no escape for you!" Confidence heart fennec said grinning as they all narrowed there eyes at him circling him for a few seconds as Darkage kept his duo red saber in front of him.
"Darkage don't," Loveheart warned as he saw him swing his duo sword around. "We got you surrounded."
"Then what are you waiting for? Aren't you the protectors of the carebear family and kill off there enemies?" Darkage said staying well aware and watching all three of them at the sametime. "What are you waiting for? Let's go!"
"Darkage, I'm going to give you one chance to surrender," Loveheart bear warned. "I suggest you take it cause if you don't were going to have to capture you the hard way." Loveheart threatened as lightning cackled around his body.
"Capture? You will never manage that!" Darkage said placing his duo saber away as he swung his arms out pushing Confidence and Sweetheart backwards as Loveheart came charging in as he suddenly stopped in his tracks grasping his throat as Darkage had one arm reached out with the green bear now raised up in the air. "Pathetic, you had an advantage and you didn't take it. You pathetic fools deserve to die along with the rest of the carebear family."
"Loveheart bear!" Shouted Confidence as she came charging in using her wind element flying in as Darkage activated his saber and swung at her head which she manged to block just in time going underneath his saber then tried to reroute her direction quickly charging in again. Darkage side stepped her kick attack while keeping Loveheart in his death grip and grabbed her tail from behind. "Let go of my tail!" Confidence shouted as she tried to turn to punch him. Darkage merely dragged her tail violently swinging her back and forth until he let her go knocking her into Sweetheart head to head as they were both down for the countas there bodies hit the cloud banks and now lay motionless.
"Pathetic," Darkage said amused squeezing Loveheart's throat harder as he choked with his unicorn star fading back to normal unable to conjure up his lightning attack. "I expected more out of you, I suppose I should finish you off first!" Darkage squeezing harder nearly breaking his neck as he turned just in time releasing his grip upon Loveheart's throat as Passion Heart just missed hitting his head with his axe. "Oh now this is more like it!" Darkage said as he cupped his hands together and shouted. "Kashikakayha!" Shouted Shimmers as his attack lit up red cupping his hands together before thrusting them forward and hitting Passion Heart directly on his belly sending him flying backwards as his axe fell to the clouds below as his body disappeared into a deep seated trench. "Okay, time to finish this!" Darkage turning towards Loveheart who was still panting for air till anger Heart stood in front of him crossing his arms along with Guidance.
"You will not lay a hand on our leader's head!" Anger heart said as he ignited flame surrounding his body.
"Please Darkage, stop this madness, we don't want to harm you, we just want to talk." Guidance heart said still trying to reason with him.
"Enough talk, this little fox has the right idea." Darkage said as he reached out with his paw like neo from the matrix.
"I'm not a little fox!" Anger Heart growled as he began throwing fire balls at Darkage who managed to take a few of the hits, but after taking barrage after barrage, he was losing ground. "Now I got you Darkage!" He said smiling as his tails glowed fiercely behind his head and aimed at Darkage about to unleash a hell furnace attack till he got hit from behind as his flames left his body. "Huh? My powers!" He said looking around at who shot him. It was one Coldheart who had fired at him, "What did you do to my powers Coldheart?" He said grtting his teeth.
"I neutralized them." He quickly fired at Guidance heart who fell to the ground unconcious.
"Guidance! Your going to pay for that!" He said trying to reignite his powers but was knocked out from behind by Darkage with a sharp chop behind his back as he fell harmlessly to the clouds next to his mate.
Loveheart got up as he got to his feet and reignited his powers now facing the two bad guys now being outnumbered till Confidence and Sweetheart landed near him. "Darkage, I swear to you your going to pay for that!" He vowed.
"Aww you no longer want to capture me Loveheart bear?" Darkage said with a smirk.
"YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE! NOW PREPARE YOURSELF!" Loveheart bear shouted as he came charging in swinging his broad sword quickly as Darkage giggled easily avoided each blow as he did a turn around sword swing as Darkage blocked it with his duo red saber as Loveheart shouted. "Shocking Sphere!" He said as he fired his nonweaponed hand at Shimmers chest with lethal force violent electrical force bringing him down to one knee. As he was about to go in for a kill blow, he remembered Redemptionheart bear and her words and stopped himself. "I'll give you one last chance, surrender yourself, and no harm will come to you." Loveheart said. Loveheart cried out in pain and fell to the ground as his lightning disappeared as Coldheart had hit Loveheart bear with the futuristic gun he had in his hand.
"Loveheart bear!" Sweetheart shouted as she came charging in as Darkage looked at Cold Heart stunned that he would even dare to save his life.
"I'm not saving you a second time!" Cold heart shouted as he went elsewhere and started shooting the other magi specifically. Darkage quickly began dodging Sweetheart's kicks and magical bursting attacks as Confidence also joined in.
"Our leader gave you a chance to surrender twice and you didn't take it!" Confidence shouted. "Now that was your last chance! Prepare to face your doom!" Confidence shouted as this time she didn't hold back as they were literally trying to harm Darkage. Darkage timed it just perfectly when Confidence went in with a razor wind whip attack with her fists grabbing her arms quickly and grasping her throat as he also managed to grab Sweetheaart around the throat using the dark side of the heart stopping her dead in her tracks.
"As fun as this was, you both LOST!" Dark age shouted as he choked them till they both passed out as he let go.
"No, how could you harm our kids like that!" Sage Heart bear said as Lifeheart, and Sage Heart bear now were facing Darkage along with Trueheart and Nobleheart. As the battle raged on around them, the carebear family was quickly becoming subdued as for some reason, Darkage was rocked with guilt and it froze him in battle momentarily. While he was in this moment of weakness and inaction, Lifeheart and Sage Heart were both charging up and shouted. "Power drain!" They shouted as Sage Heart bear had his arms raised blasting Shimmers with Lifeheart;s unicorn hitting Shimmers with her orange blast attack as Darkage went down to one knee grimacing. Once the attack was done, Darkage tried to counter pushing them away with the heart but was unable to use his power. "We drained all your power Darkage, now surrender!" Lifeheart demanded. As Darkage was about to respond, they got blasted by Cold Heart's gun twice each one to render there powers away, and the other knocked them out.

When Confidence woke up, she saw Caarelot in shambles like a hurricane had went through it. She along with Passion, Loveheart, Sweetheart, Guidance, Anger Heart, and Defiant were the only ones left behind. Confidence was so angry and sad that her body began to glow as she closed her eyes.
"Confidence? What's going on? Your glowing." Sweetheart pointed out.
"They took everything! My parents, our family! My husband! AHHH!" Confidence Heart let out a scream of rage as her body pulsed with light and her tail shuddered and quivered behind her then violently split into two complete tails. Confidence Heart fell forwards and held herself up on all fours, exhausted and pained by the effort with a renewed vow to rescue her family.
Loveheart bear also witnessed this as he went near Confidence and consoled her. "We'll get them back and this time Darkage will not be spared. If you get the chance everyone, kill him." Loveheart bear said as the other magi nodded as they were bitter and angry at this heavy defeat.
