ok memory isnt great when it comes to Digimon. other then the fact when they die they're reborn but they dont remember anything of their past life. (little creepy not gonna lie) however whats the deal here? i remember there are different verisons of the same digimons but they normally have different colours and shapes and yeah... if anyone would be so kind as to remind me how this works with digimon. i would really appreciate it.

when a digimon dies unless they're soul bound to a partner, their data gets reformatted and they'll start over brand new, otherwise they'll retain their memory of their partner and times shared with their partner, any corruptions will be removed though. The only way to completely sever a bond between partner and digimon entirely is to completely format the entire digital world.

first off thank you lad. second your design reminds me so much of Veemon its insane. which begs my question on how different evolutions of the digimon work. i mean i assume different environmental factor play a role in it and i know there are special stones and other items. (and the fact they can evolve with the help of their partner) but you got an Agumon who has two different evolutionally trees. how?

it depends on if the digimon is wild or with a partner/ tamer if the digimon is wild then it's based on their surroundings, the data they absorb from defeated foes, and personal life styles and tendencies.
If they're with a tamer then it has more to do with how the tamer handles them, feeding them, raising them, training them, working with them in combat. a lot of this can vary on how the tamer and partner bond with one another.
In regards to resembling Veemon, yeah they were a heavy inspiration for the design work, and the later forms were inspired more by Imperialdramon Paladin mode
Just remember digimon isn't really Pokemon, so they don't usually have evolutions based on stones or some such.
