So we picked this up from a hobby shop out of town, this "No Grade" Gundam Dynames, and let me tell you, this kit is fucking TRASH.

We got it for only $28, and now I see why.  I did my absolute best to make this presentable, I even painted on the red for the v-fin, because the stickers they expected me to use for it were so garbage. I added a matte finish because the plastic quality is so bad, I was hoping to hide it.  It has no inner frame, so it's not sturdy at all. it constantly feels like it's going to fall apart, and the articulation is down right terrible

"No Grade"? LOL never again.

If anyone wants to help me get my hands on the ACTUAL "Master Grade" (which I've watched reviews on, it's fucking amazing) version of this, please, PLEASE DM me.  I love this suit but holy fuck this kit was bad.

Would the size fit for another Bandai model line named 30 Minute Missions? If so, you could play Mad Mechanic on it and use the Dynames as an outfit while using the framework of the 30MM.

A plus? They are cheap and very poseable! A good deal to use for models like these! :)

This said, I wish you luck with your quest to get the Master Grade version. :D

While that might be a good idea, it won't work- this is 1/100 scale, and the 30MM kits are scaled for use with 1/144 kits. That said, it was fine for the time (2007) for what it was.

I see ... pity. I hoped that it would work out for you.

I remember watching on Youtube a modeler who used styrene sheets of different thicknesses to fix up a kit that he felt sucked badly and give the real source some justice, but all I remember for sure is that it involved a lot of prep-work, sketching, and perhaps pieces from other models as well.

Depending on size, perhaps an action figure could serve as the skeleton? From 6-inch and 12-inch GIJoes, to Marvel and DC Comics articulated figures ... heh, now that I'm thinking about it I'm remembering Jin Saotome's customs and how much work he put into those and I'm just realizing it, hehe. :P

Thank you for the replies! :)
