so it used to be a sort of tradition for me to do a daily art challenge in october, which I sadly stopped doing after a bit of a mental episode in 2018-2019. Buuut methinks i'mma start doing that again, as they are pretty fun~
I've never done the inktober challenge before tho, as I kinda consider it a bit of cheating to do it digitally when the medium is supposed to be traditional, and as someone who primarily does digital art (mostly out of a lack of resources) I've kinda been gatekeeping myself out of it. Until now.
Cuz I'mma do and draw what the hell I please, and so should you~

So to compensate, it'll be a black&white/monochromatic challenge with a randomly generated color for contrast~
First one out, and Annabelle already hates it. I've tried to assure her it's not gonna be another "torture Annabelle-challenge", but she just doesn't trust me :(

Ooh, this sounds really neat, and I hope you'll have a lot of fun with it, too! I'm certainly eager to see what you'll do with it! And good for you for deciding to go ahead and do the challenge digitally, too. Since you're drawing for yourself and not for an official contest, who cares what it's "supposed" to be!

I don't know if I can exactly blame Annabelle for being skeptical, considering we're starting out of the gate with crystals growing on/in her arms and legs. But it looks really good, and the detail on the crystal formations is really nicely done. The red you picked for them does give it a rather alarmingly bloody look, but all the better for the spookiest month of the year! Her pose and expression are really nicely done, too, and be sure to give the poor doe a hug or something when it's all done!
