Well, this is the first pic I ended up doing work on after I got my awesome display tablet back in May~ A simple line-over of my commission from
featuring Biker Boi Scourge that I got for CrisisSilver.
Why is it not fully colored? Back in May when I got the tablet, I asked people on a vote which pic I should work on, and this was the chosen one out of about eight options. But after lining it, a lot of people said the original sketch had so much detail that it would be a shame to color over it. And I had to agree. So instead, I blurred it ever so slightly, gave it some highlights, and for pop i just colored in the eyes, kinda like one of those effects they offer at photo booths to just allow one single color to come through. I like the sepia tone overall, makes it feel like an old photo~
This Scourge is an AU one, a high school dropout who likes zipping around on his cycle and hates shoes and stuffy clothing. He's dating Silver, the teacher's pet of the class who is somewhat ostracized for the odd markings on his hands and feet. I actually use CSP ^^ It took me a few weeks of trial and error but I finally figured out how to make a lineart brush that behaves just like SAI(2) heheheh. But I still got SAI just in case I ever need to go back for some reason, like if an update makes it behave bad or something lol.
And we'll see, I may color it, but again, I like this sort of minimalist thing X3
