The Violet Sapphire is so much more than a burlesque club. True, that seems to be a significant part of the place's appeal, but Jene has built herself a palace of sin. A castle that caters to the carnal desires. It should be no surprise then to learn that the Sapphire also includes a strip club (or "exotic dance hall" if you're being extra) called "The Other Side". Girls who work the stage typically work one side or... the other (pun not intended). As such, a bit of a friendly rivalry exists between the two, especially in the backrooms, where the two often overlap. Tonight's entertainment is provided by Sandy (Emily).
Emily's family doesn't know much about what she did for money during college. Her parents had an inkling of an idea, but her younger siblings were completely in the dark. Despite her misgivings about letting her family know, she did enjoy her work. It was good money and certainly helped her live a good life while paying for her education to boot. It helps that she was always in the top ten of the unofficial "fan favorites" rankings the year she was there. All good things must come to an end though, and after growing noticeably pregnant with Holly she left the Violet Sapphire to start the next leg of her life.
After four more kids and a the passing of a decade, one might think that getting back to work in a strip club would be a non-starter. As luck would have it though, "Sandy" was still hot gossip after all this time and Emily had been diligent in getting back into pre-pregnancy shape. Needing an additional dancer for the 80's night and hearing that Emily was still in the area, Jene decided to look her up. While more than a little surprised at the invite, being a housewife and stay-at-home mother was starting to grow dull. It didn't take much more than a quick conversation with her mate, Kieran, to send the oldest Kintana sibling back to work... Even if it was only for one night. Enjoy it while it lasts.
The third of four 80's themed pieces featuring my girls from the Other Side, this time featuring a performer from the club's past. Emily has come out of retirement for one night only... or perhaps not. With Kieran at work and almost all the pups now in school, she could use something to occupy her time her soon. Maybe once the twins start school... Also featuring a cameo of one of my other characters. Points if you can figure out who without reading the tags.
