It has been quite a while since I last uploaded. I hate how this has almost become a catchphrase when it comes to posting my art. The story behind this piece was that not too long ago I purchased a lordship title (1 sqft lol) from a website called Established Titles who sells plots of land in Scotland. I thought it'd be a funny thing to do, as I also recently found out 23% Scottish (49% English, 18% Irish, 7% Welsh and 3% Norwegian so 97% British (Thats pretty epic)). Soon after the purchase I decided to book a Holiday to see the plot. It was in a little woodland in Wigtownshire (Dumfries and Galloway), a very picturesque region. I travelled with my family and had a gander all over the place within the Wigtownshire Historic County. From Newton Stewart to Portpatrick. This drawing is actually based off of a place we went to called Clugston Loch. A very remote lake surrounded by Farmland Pastures (90% of the farmland we saw were Sheep and Cow Pastures) and hilly bogland. But what made it truly exciting and unique was the Cairn on top of a hill, a magnificent landmark that probably was placed there by the Ancient Novantae tribe (Southern Picts/Northern Celts?), or even by Early Contempary Scots (The modern Scottish who were originally from Ireland). Or I could possibly be overthinking it. I also based my Dyn's uniform off of my Re-enactment group's Uniform, minus the kilt and the Sword of course (My Unit is a English County Regiment). I really enjoyed this piece. It has been a very long time since I have last drawn. It has been a maddening several months, with work coming and going, my holiday, job applications leading nowhere, and very recently my mum having caught Covid. Thankfully she had very mild symptoms, and is free from her self-isolation now. Getting to do art has been quite difficult for the past several months, with all the frustrations that had been going on, as well as a lack of motivation. As I have said many a time before, that I come up with more ideas than I actually follow through with. This maybe a common occurrence that many Hobbyist and Amateur artists will be going through. But hopefully my situation may change and the frustration that I am going through will be mitigated and I'll be able to get on clearing my mind of all the ideas that I have and finally produce them in one way or another. But thank you all for the view faves and watches for the past 2 years. I hope to continue to improve on my art and get create more interesting works. Cheers, Dyn
