“What makes me a good demo-dog? If I were a BAD demo-dog, I wouldn’t be sittin’ here disCUSSING it with yah now would I!?”

Aw, now you can't say that about Nurse Jenny.  Our military nurses and doctors are military.  They hold the rank that they are assigned, i.e. Nurse Jenny could be a Major or a Captain, and they are accorded the respect of said rank.  For example, Nurse Jenny would be referred to as Major (or Captain) Nurse Jenny.  (Sorry.  As a former military person, I've always been a bit touchy when someone implied military doctors and nurses aren't military.)

She is not actually military though, she is a volunteer nurse working on the far back lines.

Ah, okay.

Would be Home Front then.  Only the military nurses were sent to combat theatres after training and kept from the Front Line - although some did see action and some were even decorated for heroism.  The outfit Nurse Jenny has does resemble the uniform worn by nurses of the American Red Cross in that time period.

As an ex-military person myself I would be more inclined to question their credentials as actual doctors than I would their military membership.  Does the Community College of the Air Force have a medical PhD program, I wonder?

I don't know about elsewhere in the world but, the US military doctors have got to have been graduated from a credentialed medical school.  Normally, the doctors have the military pay for their medical school and, in exchange, spend that many years in the military to pay for their schooling.  (Similar to ROTC)  My ex-brother-in-law went to medical school on the Navy's dollar and spent several years in the Navy as a result.  However, medics and corpsmen aren't technically doctors although they have medical training.

Straight out of the cheapest medical schools that can get acredited and under orders to do whatever it takes to get servicemen back to work--yeah, that sounds about right.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about nor do I understand the hardon you seem to have against military doctors.  Personally, I trust them more than I trust the so-called medical experts that graduate from the "top tier" medical schools.  During my time in the military, every doctor I went to was as professional as any civilian doctor I've gone to, if not more so.  But, everyone's allowed to have their personal opinion (for a while longer anyway).

I am just a former patient who is still living with the same pain decades later.  You can have professionalism.

Well, I understand your feelings.  But, there are an equal number of civilians with the same problem from civilian doctors.  Insurance companies are as bad, if not worse, than the military about putting people "back to work" ASAP even if the patient complains about lingering problems.  A doctor can only do so much when he/she is forced to end medical coverage.
