Sunshine is laying on the couch with Ivory resting sound asleep on his chest. It had been a few days since he had been deemed well enough to finally go home with the children, who were no longer considered at risk of running away.
The hedgehog had yet to tell his husband about the upcoming addition to their growing family, wanting to give him the chance to get settled back into a sense of normalcy with Pandora and Sol now in their home before dropping the big news on him. He gently strokes Ivory’s back as he listens to the Chao’s soft snoring in the otherwise quiet home, the only other sounds coming from Pandora and Sol’s bedroom where they were playing together with their toys.
Pandora was still quiet and shy toward most people, but she seemed to finally be settling in with her rightful family after some convincing from Sol. At least the young rabbit had stopped asking to be taken back to Eggman and was no longer calling the human her ‘Papa.’ Sol on the other hand had adjusted to his new home rather quickly, likely thanks to his ability to access the thoughts and memories of those around him, allowing him to witness how he had been separated from Sunshine in the first place from the older hedgehog’s perspective.
