The Cloudy Havens Angels (aka the grade school soccer team)

The Cloudy Havens Angels (CHA) are the grade school girls soccer team. The girls play from 1st to 4th grade and are usually aged 7-10 years. The club currently has around 35 members, but only 20 of them are on the active roster and therefore allowed to play in the season. The rest of the girls, usually the younger ones, are waiting their turns to be either set active in case a player gets hurt or get their chance in the following years. Training attendance is mandatory for all players active and not active.
Their home field is the Summer Storm Stadium, which is shared with the middle and highschool teams.
The league consists of 10 schools, from the surrounding areas, that compete over the season, the team that ends the season on top will go on to the state championship tournament and the state champion will proceed to nationals.
The team usually trains on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with either Saturday or Sunday being game day during the season.

The team logo shows a soccer ball with wings and a halo on top.

Their home gear is white shirts and pants for the field players and a light blue shirt and pants for the goalkeeper.
The away gear has pink shirts and pants for the field players and golden shirts and pants for the goalkeeper.

The trainer currently plays a system with three defenders, two defensive and three offensive midfielders and two strikers.

The current active roster of the club consists of the following players.

Goalkeeper:
Name: Evelynn Storm Boyd
Number: 1
Age: 10
Species: Border Collie / German Shepherd mix

Evelynn is one of the daughters of local soccer hero Summer Storm and is the goalkeeper for the team. Her biggest hero is Kaitlynn Knight, her mum's former team mate and current goalkeeper for the Portland Thorns.
She currently has a record of 79% of all shots on goal saved and is the second best goalkeeper in that regard in the league.
However due to having a good defense she is the keeper with the least amount of goals scored against her.
Her goal is to be a professional goalkeeper and to make the national team.

Defenders:

Name: Anna Indigo
Number: 2
Age: 10
Species: Chinchilla

Anna is the first of three defenders and plays on the right side of the field. She is a fast and agile player, which helps her to play against girls who are taller than her (she is one of the shorter players). Her duel rate is around 69%. Her vastness and agility allow her to help the team offensively from time to time and she is the defender with the most assists in her team.

Name: Rebecca O'Hara
Number: 3
Age: 10
Species: Husky/Fox/Cat Hybrid

Rebecca is the middle defender in the row of three. She is not as fast and agile as the other two, but she still does win her fair share of tacklings at around 65%. Her bigger quality are the passes. After winning a ball she usually tries to play it precisely to one of her teammates, instead of just shooting it out of the danger zone. She also has no problem with throwing herself into an attempt to prevent the opponents from scoring (this has earned her a few bruises so far).
As much as she loves the game, it is not her most important hobby, as she is much more of a geek that likes to cosplay and read books. She is the academically best player in the team.

Name: Josefine Nicole Jordan
Number: 4
Age: 9
Species: wolf

The third of the defenders is Josefine, who very much prefers to be called Josy. She is one of only two u10 players in the team's usual starting formation and plays on the left side. She may look like an innocent cute little pup at first glance, but she has no problems getting her hands dirty. If she can not stop her opponent the legal way, she tends to use foul plays to do so. Therefore she has earned the most yellow and also one red card for the team. She is a rather aggressive player and not afraid to tackle players older and bigger than her.
She is a big motivator and tries to cheer everybody up after a bad play or lost games. She is a fast player, pretty much like Anna, but her passes are nowhere near precise enough for her to play a role in the team's offensive. Her trainer urges her to do more training in this regard and is convinced she can have a big success if she does so.

Midfielders:
Defensive Midfield:

Name: Olivia Fond
Number: 5
Age: 10
Species: Beaver

Olivia or Liv as her friends call her is one part of the defensive midfield duo. She is the more defensive part of the two. When playing on her own she has a successful tackling rate of 70%, when playing with Laura that rate rises to around 80%, the two girls just have that kind of dynamic that nobody can really explain, not even themselves. She is lacking a bit in passing skills and speed.

Name: Laura Maria Garcia
Number: 6
Age: 10
Species: Otter

Laura is the other half of the defensive midfield duo. She is the perfect counterpart to Olivia. What her friend lacks in offensive skills, she makes up for, the defensive is her weaker side with a tackling rate of about 60% on her own and 65-70% when playing with Liv. She could play in the offensive middlefield, but since the two girls have a good dynamic together she always plays defensive.
She dreams of making a career in soccer when she is older.

Name: Xenia van Adel
Number: 8
Age: 10
Species: Lynx

Xenia is the right side player in the three player offensive middlefield. She mainly plays, because her friends Evelynn and Victoria joined the team. Her main motivation for winning is not the feeling of victory itself, but more the desire to make beautiful memories with her friends. While she is a good player and usually starts for the team, she is the only girl from the starting team who is not always starting and has a strong competitor for her place in the team. She has recently discovered skateboarding as a new hobby and considers quitting soccer in middle school. Until then she aims to win the championship with her team.

Name: Morgan Cassandra Erikson
Number: 10
Age: 10
Species: Bat

Morgan is the middle player in the offensive middlefield as well as the team captain. The trainer thinks very highly of her and considers her to be the best player in the team. She has an incredible field awareness, she can anticipate the movements of her opponents and teammates. She plays the most precise passes of all the players. The qualities she is lacking are mainly goal scoring and tackling. While she can trick her opponents when in ball possession, she has a hard time winning the ball back once she loses it.

Name: Theresa Jefferson
Number: 7
Age: 9
Species: spotted hyena

Theresa is the second u10 player in the team's starting formation and plays the left side of the offensive middlefield. Her strongest quality is that she is able to play with both feet equally and is therefore harder to defend. She is the most diligent of the players and usually the first girl to arrive for training and the last one to go. She hopes to play with her best friend more often next year, when the older players leave for middle school. She is a good player who shoots freekicks, corners and penalty shots.

The Strikers

Name: Victoria Storm Boyd
Number: 9
Age: 10
Species: Border Collie German Shepherd Mix

Victoria is the twin sister of the team's goal keeper and is a striker, like her mum was when she was younger. She is the top goal scorer in the team. While she is the better scorer, she is considerably slower than her striker partner Hannah. When facing a strong defence, she is very much depending on her teammates to feed her good passes for her to score goals.

Name: Hannah Black
Number: 11
Age: 10
Species: Clouded Leopard

Hannah is the second striker in the team and compared to Victoria lacking a bit in her scorer qualities, she makes up for that in her speed however. She is the fastest sprinter in the team with and without a ball. She is not the best player in giving assists, but has the most overall scorer points (goals scored and assists combined). Her speed has earned her the nickname Speedy among her teammates. Like many of the girls she dreams about being the next big superstar for the city of Cloudy Havens.

The bench

Name: Cassie Short
Number: 12
Age: 9
Species: Husky

Cassie is the second goal keeper of the team. She hopes to rise to number one in the next season. Until then she keeps training and waiting for her chance.

Name: Tara Marie Hamilton
Number: 14
Age: 9
Species: Grizzly bear

Tara is basically a defensive all rounder. On the one hand that is a good thing, because the trainer can fill a lot of positions with her, making her one of the most swapped in players, but on the other hand that means that basically on every of those positions there is a player that can do the job better than her. She hopes to get her chance on a starting position in the next season, she would prefer Rebecca's position, if she were to choose.
Even though she has a very slim figure, she does have a lot of strength. She also is a bit bigger than other girls her age.

Name: Elizabeth Garcia
Number: 15
Age: 9
Species: Tiger

Elizabeth or Ellie as she is usually called is a defender. She prefers to play on the right side. She is not as quick and agile as Anna who starts in this position and is mainly focused on defending with very little offensive drive. The trainer tries to push her a little more towards helping out in the offensive and also towards working on her speed.

Name: Sachiko Watanabe
Number: 17
Age: 9
Species: water deer (Google them, they're adorable)

Sachiko also is a defender, who waits for her chance to get a place in the starting formation. Compared to Ellie, she is much quicker and is very capable in handling the ball. She is lacking a bit in tackling quality because she does not have the strength that some of her teammates have.

Name: Dorothea Ferguson
Number: 18
Age: 8
Species: deer

Thea is an offensive midfielder with a lot of speed and agility. She loves to do tricks with the ball and to leave her opponents speechless with her tricks. Unfortunately she likes to do tricks a little too much and therefore often loses the ball or misses the chance to pass the ball to a teammate in a good position. Should she be able to overcome these flaws, she would probably get a place as a starter in the next season.

Name: Bernadette Focker
Number: 20
Age: 9
Species: badger

Bermadette is a midfield all rounder, who can play offensivel and defensively. She prefers to play defensively though. She is a strong passer and also good in one against one situations. Her speed can use some improvement. She also is lacking a bit in stamina and is therefore usually only sitting on the bench.

Name: Lucy Gilard
Number: 19
Age: 8
Species: lion

Lucy is a midfield talent, but just comes short in some important factors. She is a quick thinker and has a high level of game intelligence, which would make her a candidate for a future captain. Her biggest problem is, that she is neither the fastest nor the player with the most stamina and has a tendency for foul play and being sent if the field by the referee. The trainer hopes to help her develop and surpass these problems so that she can rise to her full potential in the next season.

Name: Luna Grace Lynch
Number: 21
Age: 9
Species: wolf

Luna is a striker and she has got a killer instinct, when it comes to scoring goals. When she is playing 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper in training she almost scores 100% of her shots. Sadly she does not do so well when she has opponents around her. She is not the fastest player in the team, meaning that she often has problems when she has to race a defender to the goal. She is also a bit too hasty in preasure situations, which causes her to make unnecessary mistakes in her shots on goal. The trainer thinks however that she has good chances to make it as a starter in the next season.
She admires Hannah a lot and tries to learn from her.

Name: Aria Giuliano
Number: 22
Age: 7
Species: bunny

Aria is the youngest team member on the active roster. She impressed the trainer with her precise shots on goal as well as her ability to jump. Sadly her shots lack a bit of power and therefore are often caught by the goal keeper no matter the precision. If she manages to work on that she has good chances to be a regular in the next season.

The staff:

Trainer
Name: Satoshi Miller
Age: 33
Species: Wolf

Satoshi never was a pro player and has only ever been a mediocre player during his active time. He started coaching the team three years ago. Before that he was coaching a team in a smaller town and managed to push them to rank 4 of their division. His goal for the Angels is to reach the national championships and prove that he is coaching better than he was playing.

Assistant trainer
Name: Janice Pauline Jefferson
Age: 21
Species: Cheetah

Janice, or JJ as the coach usually calls her, has just finished university and is on her first job now. The coach picked her among 20 applicants for the job, because her marks and her athletic abilities were outstanding. She has never actually played soccer (she was a Volleyball player in High School, but didn't find a trainer job in this field) and she is basically learning the game from scratch. At the moment she usually organizes the strength and stamina training for the team, but wants to lead actual training sessions starting next year.

Honorary team member and water girl
Name: Diana Huges
Number: 100 (a number not officially assigned in soccer, she has it because she is considered an honorary team member by the girls, she is not an official one though)
Age: 10
Species: Dalmatian

Diana loves soccer, she has a deep understanding of the game and tactics and basically knows all about soccer history. You could say she is an absolute soccer nerd. She would love to play for the team, but since she was born with a heart condition, she basically can not run for more than a few minutes without fainting. The trainer took her in the team as his personal assistant, she brings the girls water and towels and helps set up training parcours for the team. Everybody in the team loves her and treats her like a team member (they usually refer to her as the 12th player). She dreams to study some kind of sport science and be a coach or team manager in the future.
