Seeing Rin walking down the stairs into the cellar is another reason I have a difficult time with digitigrade anthros.  At the very least, you'd think they'd use ramps instead of stairs or stairs with VERY wide steps.

Not too difficult, I have backless heels for an anthro cosplay to give a digitigrade look. Pretty much just takes practice going up and down stairs without any issues, you're basically walking on the tips of your toes. That and holding the rail regardless helps.

I mean most dogs go up and down stairs all the time anyways.... Granted they got 2 extra paws to balance out.

And then there's that one dog that started down the stairs, went back up, then promptly ran and yeeted himself into oblivion with a leap.

Or just do one of two sensible things.  Make the steps wider, or go down backwards ;D

wouldn't you normally have a table in the middle of the kitchen or some type of table desk at the edge of the kitchen instead of a full open kitchen?

Nah, makes it a pain in the ass for more than one person to cook in a small kitchen. I know from experience.
