It's Mypaint's doing: it loads the canvas texture by default, so that even solid brushes look kinda "watery", a trick I used back in Gimp (load a texture and multiplying layers). Of course, in order to make the texture show, I reduced the opacity of the color and shading layers. I like this very much. o.o Not that you can't use layers in Krita, because you can, I just don't know how! x3

Nice work so far 💜💜💜, sorry to hear of all the trouble you had with Krita, maybe you'll try it again someday? Krita 5.0 is releasing soon and will include a MyPaint brush engine which i'm excited to try as i used to mainly use MyPaint prior to moving to Krita. Anyway keep up the good work 💜 :-)

Thanks, beloved. uwu I have not uninstalled Krita yet, since I'm also awaiting the update. I wanna give it another try. It's not a bad software. Also, thanks for the fix you showed me last time, but, unfortunately, it was not enough. I get this:

ERROR: not connected to the kde-frameworks-5-plug content interface.
I looked this up, but the command to make such connection never works. I have KDE Frameworks installed, of course.x3

Hmm okay, i wonder if it could be a bug with the snap package as its odd for it to stop working after an update especially if it worked fine before. Was this an update to krita or a system update? Interestingly someone over a month ago reported having this issue on pop os with krita and other snap packages as well after an upgrade: https://github.com/pop-os/pop/issues/1761, sadly there hasn't been any responses there. Have you tried the appimage version and does it give the same error?

I have not, but I am adamant about using only the default repositories to which a distribution connects to after installed. I really feel strange about installing software from sources other than Ubuntu's default repos and Snapcraft. But don't worry. >W<' This issue will be solved eventually...
