I got a new fishing rod for my birthday recently. I'm not very good at fishing yet but it's been good to get out again like when I was little!

Here's Dalton beating the heat with his feet in the water and shirt off. Looks like he's got his first bite. :3

Ooh, what kind of rod did you get? Catch anything good yet? All I've caught is perch :/

Just a decent, lightweight, freshwater rod from the sporting goods store. So far I've caught a few trout, they're the only thing I can get to bite from the shore! I would love to get out on a canoe once I own one and try to get to the bass and bigger fish.

Yeah I fish from the shore too! I mostly do topwater but haven't caught any bass yet, just tons and tons of perch. Keep me updated, I'd love to hear your fishing tales and feats!

I used to catch a lot of bass when I was a little kid. My grandfather taught me how to row a canoe and whenever we went camping together, we'd go out to the good spots on the lake to catch dinner.

The fishing isn't as good in general here, and all the good spots I know of require a canoe, so it'll be a little while before I'm catching anything better than little trouts probably.
