“Welcome!” The speaker within the spacious room boomed down at the four guests. “Participants, Luff, Wuff, Impo, and Rua, thank you for taking part in this Escape Room Challenge.”
These four pony kids were beside themselves with surprise by how well fortified this pre-challenge room was. The fact that the speaker knew their names when they entered showed that they were indeed in the right place.
At the front of this pack was Wuff. The orange haired, boisterous, strong spirited girl was always unafraid to bare her sharp teeth at whatever obstacle was put in front of her. Her Irish flare and tendency to charge through anything in her way made her certain that whatever lay ahead in this escape room was nothing to be afraid of.
“Ah! Finally, today's the day. I can’t wait to bulldoze through this challenge!” Wuff snarled.
Behind her was Luff. Despite being just as confident, her demeanor, mannerisms, and strengths lied at the opposite end of the spectrum. This blue haired prodigy was courageous and smart. She had a lot of wit and used it to make sure her friends were well taken care of. She’s mostly here to help out but knows in her heart that how smart she is will likely be a huge asset to the team.
“Alright. Just don’t demolish anything too expensive looking. I don’t want them to spring any surprise bills on us at the end of this.” Luff responded, thinking to herself about how unfortunate it was that she wasn’t there to see the fine print on the agreement to partake in this thing.
In the top back was easily the most overconfident of them all. Our male trickster here was an impish, cocky, and easily the most boastful of the group. His name is Impo and he’s a bonafide prankster. Nay, he’s the prank master as far as he was concerned.
“Don’t get your panties caught in a twist. Everything will be fine. Even if something expensive breaks, I’ve got enough skills in my back-pocket to make it look like it was their own fault.” Impo chided, laughing to himself about how many ways this was going to go well for him.
The final member of the group at the bottom right was Rua. The two-toned haired mysterious and quiet one of the group would always appear to be fairly calm. They were quick to anger if you were to mock them and their height challenged nature.
Despite being a master of disguise, showing up regularly dressed for this occasion seemed fitting as it was just a special outing between friends. An escape room challenge was a bit of an odd thing to do amongst your clique but everyone had their own unique way of hanging out right?
“You four ponies are about to take part in the Escape Room. You’ll be locked in said room for 30 minutes. You’ll have to solve all the problems and challenges before you’ll be allowed to leave and make your grand, daring, and successful escape!” The speaker explained back to them what they already knew, for the most part. “A wondrous prize awaits those who overcome it so try with all your might to succeed!”
Wuff, Luff, and Impo smiled, ready to head on in. Rua looked more determined. Despite that, all four were extremely sure of themselves at this exact moment. That moment was promptly ruined when mechanical hands sprung out from the patches in the bolted walls, carrying surprise garments in their hands.
Four diapers were in each robotic hand, hovering over their faces. The four of them got wide-eyed and were extremely confused before the next scene was sprung on them.
In a quick flash, the hands grabbed at their clothes and began snatching them away, one by one. They all let out worried shrieks of surprise as their butts were raised when reduced to sheer nakedness before their themed diapers were strapped onto their bottoms.
As quick as they came, they disappeared back into the walls, leaving the four of them standing there stunned and embarrassed. Even the stonewall that was Rua seemed to have a large crack in her impenetrable demeanor.
“What… the…?” Impo tugged at the diaper, obviously resistant to the idea that he was about to go any further while pampered. “I can’t...get this off!”
Wuff and Luff fiddled with the diapers a bit as well. Not even the tapes were loosening enough to remove. It would seem that being pampered wasn’t something they could opt out of here.
“All you need to do is escape the room and you’ll be able to remove those diapers. Any “big kids” should be able to beat this room. Only actual babies would fail and get locked inside so there’s nothing to worry about.”
The expressions and general responses to this were a genuine mixed bag. As the steel door ominously opened in front of them, Wuff bent down and growled at the entrance. She was angry about her new state of dress and the embarrassment that came with it but was daring this place to try it again with her bared fangs as a warning. “Come on! Come on!” She bellowed.
Luff was definitely worrying now though, not looking as confident as she was before now that she had been placed in some embarrassingly thick pampers. “My intelligence is almost unparalleled so a room designed for babies should be a cinch. Still this diaper thing is… surprising.” She said as more of a way to re-convince herself of her ability.
Impo was trying his best to still look cool and suave. “H-Haha! Bring it on! The prank room that could out prank the ultimate prank master has never been built and never will be!” He boasted, despite it looking obvious that he wasn’t able to get over the embarrassment.
Rua was just wide-eyed and shaky. The doors opening seemed to be like an invitation to something they wouldn’t be able to turn back from once they went inside. The one thing occupying their mind was the fact that they had just heard the speaker suggest that if they failed they would be “locked in” so casually. What did that mean… aside from the obvious?
