2 years ago my mom silently passed away. Her departure left us with a bunch of bills that were tough to pay.
That's when I decided to do commissions, in the hopes of softening the blow and being able to support myself and my family.
While the commissions and Patreon support was helpful, I was able to request support of my government and receive a 'living wage'.
However, this came at the cost that I was no longer able to do commissions. They considered commissions as an income and would cause me to lose the support, AND receive a fine + all the money I earned from them during the period.

2 years later I finally got a job for at least a year. Releasing me from the 'living wage' and allowing me to do commissions once again.
I hope to start these up again soon. I'm still trying to adjust myself to the new scenario and having to work 8 hours a day.
