A droplet of light fell from the starlight fox's eye.
“It’s a gift, for you.”
The yellow star was tiny enough to fit in her hand, but inside it was the dream of embracing the whole universe.
“Would I be able to keep it forever?” She said.
“I give these stars everyone, but no one can keep them for eternity.”
The starlight fox said, smiling softly, kissing her forehead.
A tiny little star to fade right away, a sadness from unknown origin.
Dead stars from afar poured down like a glittering shower,
and the universe sobbed like a bird awaiting its end, despite the beautiful sight.
