Whoo, Tiesto! <3
I've been sitting on not only this remix, but this concept as well, for quite some time now. I've remixed for Tiesto before (Word Hard, Play Hard), and done remixes for 009 Soundsystem, as well as a handful of un-authorized remixes for greats like New Order and Utah Saints, but I was nervous doing this one. I respect Tiesto so much as a musician, and so much of my work is inspired by his work. Elements of Life was the first song that I heard by him, and I fell in love with it immediately. I consider myself a pretty decent musician, but this remix was made back when I was experimenting with all types of trance, mainly hard trance like classic Cosmic Gate and dream trance like DJ Contacreast. I don't consider it perfect, not by a long shot, this needs SO much mastering, but if I start to work on it again, I'll just end up remaking the whole damn thing, which is what I'm going to do.
Just thought that since I'm a musician first and an artist second, I thought that I would post a song here, even if it isn't that good.
