This here was my first ever furry character. Thought drawn in a much more competent way then how I managed back when I designed him. I hadn't really though about him in years but recently I had a dream of this character sitting in a tree like this. And I just can't stop thinking about what I created him for.

I started a little cartoon strip series with this character as the protagonist. I made this series to be a coping mechanism for the death of my childhood cat. The fur pattern of said cat is the same as this character. So a story made to cope with a loss consequently was going to be about loss as well. A rather depressing story you might think, but I had always been a fan of stories that involve rising above ones struggles. And I still very much am really.

I never got to finish the story. Hell I never got to the point where this character experienced the loss that would setup the future events. I'm not very good at long term projects. lol

But man after that dream, I've been thinking about it a lot. Teal was a character who was originally designed for this cartoon strip series. In many ways you could say she was to blame for me stopping from making this, because I became so fond of her I just wanted to draw nothing but her. And I still am pretty fond of her to this day.

I don't know if I'll ever try again. If I do I might consider other ways to approach it. I had to get this quick pic out of my system though. I'll place this in scraps so I don't imagine a lot of traffic. We'll see there though. This was a lot more for me any way. heh

And before some one points it out, Yes. The pun is intentional.
