A highly versatile craft designed to be sold as the new elite backbone for Teknol military, capable of filling the role of scout vessel, attack craft, transport, and mobile HQ with equal efficiency. Boasting the latest and greatest in lightweight hull armour and energy shielding technology, combined with FTL and sub light speeds unseen in its class, not to mention manoeuvrability that rivals specialised starfighters, the Babylon class truly is Master-Of-All kind of craft.
Armaments: 2 forward mounted heavy rapid plasma cannons, 5 variable degree light laser turrets (two top mounted, one bottom mounted two side mounted), one aft-mounted variable degree heavy laser turret, 4 multi-purpose missile launchers (2 fore-mounted, 2 aft-mounted).
Captain’s notes: Master of all, but desired by only few, unfortunately. The Babylon class was a commercial flop for Haddock Industries, as producing a craft that could do everything resulted in an astronomical price tag that turned away all significant potential customers that would rather fund a fleet of smaller specialised ships than sell their organs for this puppy. A last-ditch effort was made to refurbish the interiors and sell the craft to rich executives of multi-system corporations, but they too would turn down the Babylon class for its rough military design, sleek as it may be. For bounty hunters such as myself, one could not wish for a better ship, especially when one has been acquired with all the executive interior luxuries mentioned earlier, and also still has all its weapon systems still enabled. This is Tessa Young, captain of the IMS* Ishtar, signing off.
