Though I do appreciate how Gwen asks Chuck if he has issues being deceitful and he retorts back that he can't hurt or out her like that, and her confirming that he is indeed a good person, although I love his honesty when he tells her he had hoped he could share his epic with his friends and the mutual understanding of why its not a good idea.

Gwendolyn has always been a wicked witch even if you've made her a complex and empathetic (and sexy!) character too. Encouraging him to deceive those closest to him, to put his relationships with them at risk to further her own interests, feels like a misstep. Is she only afraid of being discovered or does she feel she's done something wrong here that she also needs to hide? On the other paw everything was so much simpler back when she just killed her young victims.

Gwendolyn can stay well hidden, but she doesn't want Chucky to put himself a bad position. Interspecies relationships are still mostly taboo in their society(even though it happens behind closed doors). But also, the mystery of The White Witch has been sought for centuries. If Chucky goes around boasting that he was kidnapped and then had sex with her, he'll bring some very unwanted attention to himself. This is still an age of fear and superstition, and he could find himself imprisoned and tortured by someone hell bent on finding her(assuming they believed him.)
