Character Description
Marie is Antoine's mother and Armand's Wife, she is a in Armand's words a "fire of a women" she is willing to protect her son even in she a frail state.
When married to Armand she was a supportive wife up till he convinced her to go with him the Acorn kingdom, so he could serve under King Max. She loved her son Antoine very much that so much that she was very protective of him, you could say she was the reason why he was a scaredy coyote for quite some time since whenever his father wasn't around Marie would pamper and spoil her son and even fear whatever came his way.
She died from a disease she was fighting for a long time.

Background/History
Marie had lived almost her who life in the Merica Kingdom so when she married Armand she envisioned her life with him in that kingdom and no where else. But Armand to her surprise wanted to go to the Acorn Kingdom and support the King there. Marie tried to convince Armand that should stay and he could be a general there but Armand was much more convincing because there was another reason he wanted to go. That was because Marie was sick, she had a very rare disease that was making her very weak and if they stayed in Mercia she'd never get the help she needed. Hesitant about she agreed that the only place so far that might have what she needed was at the Acorn Kingdom but she wouldn't like it. As they lived there, Marie wasn't a social person she wouldn't even learn the language of that kingdom stick to her french language that not many spoke there other then her husband and few other soldiers. Even though she had gotten a bit better with the medicine they had their she was still pretty sick but kept up still being strong for her husband but it would show just how much the medicine would effect her in that she and Armand would fight over small things at least to him. Marie wanted to go back to her homeland, she wanted her old friends and her family, she also wanted Armand close since no one understood her, she felt like an outcast with some of the other soldiers wives that even though she couldn't speak she could understand and hear them and hear the cruel things they would say about her and her husband. Armand was frustrated that Marie wasn't trying and that he felt the medicine had made her into someone different then his "little fire", but one day after returning from a battle he walks in to see Marie dressed in her best dress, with a beautiful dinner ready with candles and to his surprise she welcomed him home in a very broken and hard to hear English accent. She finally was trying to learn the language of the Acorn kingdom, because she had made friends that was helping her.
She met these friends while taking a walk and she overheard some of the wives she was talking about. She heard them talking about how a Foreigner could just get such a high ranking position overnight, they joked that maybe he slept his way to the top they laughed, causing Marie to want to shout at the, but instead heard another speak up about how her husband was an honorable man and that he worked hard to get where was and Max would be lucky to have have a night with him which actually got a small chuckle from Marie. She turned to see the person who defended her. It was two soldier women that Armand worked close to and in french she thanked them and to her shock both of them knew french and began actually talking to her.
After telling her story Armand just gave her a big hug and apologized to her saying he should have been there for her more and she apologized saying the same thing and about how she should have tried more they both cried and Armand began singing their song, he began dancing with her getting her to laugh and sing with him. To them the night had lasted forever and it was this night that a miracle happened for them, their son was conceived.
After a couple months of worrying Armand feared because of Marie's sickness she would be to weak to give birth to their son but Marie was a fighter and even though she showed signs she never gave in she stood strong and carried their son to full term and was happy to hold their son in her arms and say that no matter what she was going to protect him.
As Antoine grew up, Marie did not hold back on her vows of protection, any little thing she saw as a threat to her son she would be on her toes which on turn gave Antoine a fright and we'll you could say she was the reason he became the way he was for awhile. Even though Antoine was born and being raised in the Acorn Kingdom Marie wanted him to learn their native language which confused him since his father tried teaching him how to speak English.
