The Hunger of a God
Our story begins in a big city with millions of people locked in their homes, while corruption and crime roamed abounded in the streets.
The people had a miserable life in the decaying city due to the mismanagement of the rulers and crime. It was hell on earth for them. It seemed that God had abandoned them, but they would soon discover that it is better to live without a god than to know one and suffer for their evil whims.
It was a rainy day in the criminal streets of this planet: people continued with their things and bandits robbed old women, like any other day, when suddenly the ground began to shake. People did not know what was happening until one shadow covered them, revealing the imposing form of a gryphon that walked on 2 lion legs and was adorned with beautiful silver feathers with a blue touch on its belly and beak. The gryphon was huge, with only the tallest buildings being half the size of its talons.
The gryphon did not say anything to the small town, before his eyes were glancing at the city that nothing more than a spot on the ground so he decided to bend down and pick it up. The people tried to escape from the giant hand of the beast, but it was useless. His blue hand with blue feathers eclipsed the sky of the city, and with a quick swift movement of his hand, he ripped the city from the ground and raised it towards his face. The people who had the misfortune to be on the edge of the city had the misfortune to fall from the hand of the gryphon and die when hitting the ground. It was simply incredible how a city the size of 1500 hectares would fit perfectly in the hand of the gryphon as if he had crumbs of a cookie being involved.
People were in panic, the sirens of the cars sounded while the sky was overshadowed by the monster's blue, white-tipped beak. People were paralyzed seeing that face in horror, until suddenly, the gryphon's beak moved, and these words would make the city tremble in his world.
"Mmm, they smell delicious, they will be a great snack…" This phrase made everyone panic and run in all directions but there was nowhere to run, now they were in the giant palm of their predator. So, they either jumped to their death or they resigned themselves to what was about to happen.
Suddenly, a large and gigantic pink tongue came out of the beast's beak and began to lick the city.
Millions of buildings and people were stuck to the sticky pink appendage as the beast enjoyed its taste like candy, enjoying the taste of buildings and people sticking to its tongue as its licks destroyed small buildings and killed people in the process. Finally, the tongue was detached from the ground and returned to its peak and with a strong GULP, swallowed everything that was on the tongue.
it was all a catastrophe for those who lived there; half the city was in ruins and the other half had been eaten by the beast, but things were about to get worse when the gryphon opened its giant beak, revealing a slimy pink cave and then he throw what was left of the city into its jaws.
Those who survived screamed in terror as the city entered the monster's peak until with a loud SPLASH, they landed on the beast's tongue.
The place was horrible, slimy, fleshy, and terrifying, with the giant disturbing teeth hidden by the beak, but before they knew it, the monster closed its jaws and began to chew.
The gryphon without any remorse, enjoys the sensation of buildings breaking in his teeth while people suffered inside. It was a nightmare for them; the rolled tongue the size of a mountain moved everywhere, destroying buildings, and throwing their remains towards the long rows of teeth of the gryphon, where they would be chewed into paste. The people were also not saved from this destined fate, so they were either crushed by buildings or barely survived, only to immediately be placed in the row of teeth by the tongue and later be chewed alive generating a macabre CRUNCH sound as the jaws moved about, and more people perished before his teeth.
Some people who were trying to avoid that cruel fate approached the esophagus of the beast and for fear of being chewed up, jumped into its throat without thinking about the consequences. They soon realized their mistake as the thick walls of flesh enveloped their bodies and pushed them down until they ended up in the gigantic stomach of the beast.
The stomach was a colossal cave of pink flesh, with sticky and slippery walls joined to the devoured rubble of the city. Those who were still conscious tried to climb but it was useless. Suddenly, bubbles were heard; the people inside the stomach did not know what was happening until suddenly, acid began to leak from the fleshy walls. The people inside the stomach tried to escape, as some climbed on the rubble of the buildings to try and avoid the acid, while others tried to go to the corners of the belly and start to climb the slimy walls of the stomach, but whatever they did it was all in vain because the acid filled the stomach of the beast completely.
The poor people suffered by swimming in the hot stomach acid, as their bodies melted, their skin fell off their bodies, and their flesh dissolved in the acid until they were only skeletons. The only thing they had at this point were their souls. Now, this part of the experience was painful, as little by little, they were cleared of their atoms, the rolling oven of light making them feeling the pain in their skin until little by little, it was disappearing until there was nothing left, only bones incapable of feeling pain and some incomplete souls that would soon be absorbed by the titan, thus giving it the nutrients it needed to exist, at the cost of losing the lives of others.
"Mmm…", was the only thing the monster said while chewing. Within its beak, there were only the remains of buildings and people that were mercilessly chewed while the beast only limited itself to enjoying its flavor. In the end, with a strong GULP, the remains that were chewed up were sent down the beast's thick throat, landing on its stomach and then being melted into its belly.
When the beast finished consuming the city, he gave a loud burp and caressed his belly. The giant gryphon was satisfied for now, so he walked the continent until he mysteriously disappeared, leaving only a crater where the decaying city used to be.
