I find it interesting, most of this assumtion seems to come from the anime. Those Zoroark seem to be far more metaphysical than mind illusions, to the point that their illusions can physically affect the world around them. The games never do this, and make it pretty clear when you use a move.
I'm not sure how the manga handles Zoroark though, because N's Zorua was the main focus.
Still, I think many people reading this comic don't know how powerful the brain neurons are for illusions, especially when it comes to things where people literally have nothing wrong with them but the mind physically feels the pain and gives them the pain sensation.
