The Great War has turned half of the planed into the burned wasteland.

The government made an attempt to research and restore it and created the GCRRS: Global Cataclysm Research and Recovery Service. Its agents are searching the wasteland for any sign of life, or at least anything that can be recovered and used again.

This is a part of my characters' world lore.
