The football looked a little off to Pheagle - it was pink, round, glowing, and had an odd aura surround it - but he was a wide receiver all the same, so he caught it in his outstretched hand. It was thrown to him, after all, and catching footballs was his job.
Pheagle soon noticed something was amiss as the "ball"'s aura surrounded him, causing his hands to deform and burst free from his gloves, his feet to burst through his shoes, and his head to push hard against his helmet, putting holes and cracks in the otherwise tough headgear.
A tail burst through Pheagle's pants and two large nubs pushed against his jersey, causing him to drop the "ball" which remained suspended in midair and continued to surround him with its transformative aura! His new hooves destroyed what remained of his shoes and gloves and his head continued to push outward, further destroying his helmet!
Pheagle closed his eyes tightly as two colorful wings burst through the back of his jersey and he fell over on all fours! His helmet fell to the ground in pieces and the remains of his pants dropped and revealed his cutie mark - a pair of golden wings!
Now fully transformed, Pheagle - or Golden Wind - opened his eyes and was shocked to see, amidst the tattered remains of his uniform, that he'd become a winged pony, a Pegasus! That floating ball, which was still spreading auras over his transformed body, wasn't a football at all - it was a Pearl of Transformation! He hoped the coach would still let him play, but he wasn't sure how he could adapt to the sport like this!
