Connor and Ciara had their differences, as what family doesn't? They argued frequently, particularly over his tendency to put the good of his kingdom above personal concerns, which put something of a strain on their relationship. At the end of the day, however, they still loved each other deeply. Ciara admired her father for his convictions, and Connor was proud of his daughter for her kindness and for forging her own path in life. Perhaps his greatest joy in his life was seeing her grow into an independent young woman with a devoted wife and an all too familiar knack for putting the needs of others before her own.
A rare glimpse back at Ciara's past, before her life go quite so complicated. I was torn on whether to do something for Pride Month or Father's Day, and decided, why not both? It was high time for both of them to get another picture, too, especially poor Ciara who has been sort of eclipsed by her own daughter these days.

It is indeed, and the last few years have taught me, more than ever, to appreciate what you have while you have it. Especially when it comes to the people in your life. Though you're absolutely right that every beautiful moment like this will stay with you for life and that is a comforting thought indeed.
I'm so glad you like the picture, too!
