Eh, I went from fronting a band to my own electronic production. No singing required. I'm working my way up towards producing speedcore (stuff like I'm A Fucking Car by The Quick Brown Fox) so far i've just got generic electronica. :P

I actually hate it. My original band was german industrial (similar to Oomph!) (mostly because i can sing better in german than i can in english) but after all of my members quit i started featuring with SirentCore and working with Forever Forgotten. Ended up making a mix between electronic and rap. Just doing this until I can get a full band back together.

Either gothic orchestra or industrial. I'm a really big fan of classical artists like Adam Hurst, but I also LOVE bands like Oomph, E Nomine, Metallica, etc. my original line up was two guitarists, me, a drummer, two bassist (electric and classical) and a cellist.

It sounded really nice, despite the rarity of the combination. I wish we woulda gotten to record more than just our crummy attic demos. It probably woulda been cool. But, creative differences and all :P

Awesome! Are they any good? (the real band) Now on topic: How well do you both play the guitar, if you don't mind me asking? :D because by the looks of that image, you two rock! :D

*chuckles* The real band actually doesn't...exist in a real form. I'm trying to make it exist but it's not the easiest thing in the world to get a drummer. Storm's the guitar player, I play the bass, and umm...he's been playing for a long time - he's pretty damn frickin good. I'm average, i'd say ^^'!

What a bummer (no pun intended). What kind of style do you intend to play (or are playing)? Sorry in advance if i'm being kind of annoying for asking these things... About music, i'm mostly eclectic, but i love orchestras the most (mozart ROCKS), some (perhaps a lot) of good gaming music (Final Fantasy XIII-2's OST is simply amazing).

Have you heard Uetmatsu-san's latest works? The Last Story's soundtrack hardly amuses... he lost his touch there. Blue Dragon was also meh. Lost Odyssey had some really good music. Every OST under Masashi Hamauzi's management was really wonderful. hironobu Sakaguchi (father of Final Fantasy), has been creating really clichéd meh games (except for Lost Odyssey, which is kind of cool, but still lacks a few things, it could have been so much more). FF XII's OST is a master piece! Battle for Freedom, the fibal battle music is astounding... Well, have you ever hear of the Veer Union (excellent band, their music rocks, literally), they started out playing in some highschools in the US, and now they are a HUGE success, and their music is really good. My favourite one is 'What Have we Done'. What i'm trying to say is, that could be your band, so it's not impossible. The name really is interesting. have you thought of Symnphonic Metal (apocalyptica, although not all of their albums are symphonic metal, but they have some really good music, not all of them, but still, playing metallica with four cellos is interesting -that's one of their albums-, they try to vary a little, but according to them, their style is symphonic metal). Why Thrash metal? Why not good rock music with insightful lyrics?

Who says thrash doesn't have insightful lyrics? And Melodic Death is kind of...hard, heavy symphonic metal in a way. It's just what I like most and prefer playing. At least i'm not trying to play technical death metal, right? xD
And I was just referring on the topic of FF soundtracks - 6, 7, and 8 are clearly the best for me, X being a little bit behind...but they're all Uematsu and to me he's still the best :3
And no, I haven't heard of Veer Union...

Thrash is just not my thing! xD i think it's the use of the instruments i guess, i hardly listen to heavy metal, unless it's really well done, but it's still not my type! xD Melodic Death sounds nice. technical death metal... yeah right! xD About Uematsu-san's latest work, he could have done much better with Final Fantasy's XIV's score. Some music are really nice, and the prelude is fantastic, but some other songs just don't show the quality or originality we've come to expect from him. If you like Uemaatsu-san's work so much, you gotta listen to Symphonic Odysseys, it's a tribute to his work (some music form his earlier work and latest work beautifully orchestrated). in symphonic odysseys, for the first time, even if it was for just a few seconds, they orchestrated part of Dancing Mad from FF VI! Dancing Mad should get an entire orchestrated version just like One Winged Angel! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

Nope. He was the sole composer of FF XIV's soundtrack, although they haven't released a full OST yet, they released some kind of "preview" album entitled "Final Fantasy XIV Field Tracks / Battle Tracks", it does have some really good music like the opening theme and Twilight over Thanalan, but there are some tracks that feel either repetitive or annoying at best, he could've done better. I didn't know metallica was Thrash Metal, i thought they were Heavy metal or something of the sort, guess i suck at entitling things! xD I thought the style Thrash Metal (well, to be frank, i never listened to all their music, just some here and there) was somethi8ng with people screaming insteading of singing! xD Guess i need to open my mind a little bit on this one. Could you recommend me one Thrash Metal song or album?
