My Adopted Cubs

My adopted cubs name is Bahati. He has dark-brown fur, with a light-brown mane and orange eyes. As you can see, he likes to wear leaves around his head and pretends he's an adult lion. Bahati also likes to wander off and go on adventures with his friends Dakarai and Hasani.

Bahati was born in the northern fields of Africa to his mother Alika and his father Amarey. Bahati and his family were always traveling the lands and spending a lot of time together, hunting and having fun. Every night, Alika and Amarey would cuddle their son and tell him stories. Bahati would spend time with his father and learn how to hunt. Bahati had a habit of gathering leaves around his head and pretended to be an adult lion. His parents found it rather enjoying.

Bahati had a happy life, but one day while traveling through a rain storm, they stopped at a canal. They suddenly heard thunder and looked to see rocks tumbling down from above them. Amarey grabbed his son in his mouth and tossed him out of the way. When Bahati got up, he looked to see a pile of rocks where the small creek was and looked with shock to see a paw sticking out of the rubble. Alika and Amarey had been crushed by the rocks. Bahati cried over the loss of his parents.

After the storm passed, Bahati made his way east. He was still upset over his parents death, now he was all alone. He stopped to rest after walking for a day. Bahati was tired and hungry, then found a tree to rest under. When he woke to the sunrise, Bahati saw a male lion standing over him.

The male lion was of a light-blond color and beside him was a cub with the same fur and a bleach mane and green eyes. The cub then asked Bahati if he was ok, then Bahati told the lions his story. The blond cub called himself Jabari and the adult lion was his father Vadik.

Vadik picked Bahati up and he carried him back to his pride, taking and raising him as his own. Bahati and Jabari not only became great friends, but were more like brothers. Vadiks pride was also allied with another lion pride. Bahati and Jabari became friends with two other cubs of the pride named Hasani and Dakarai.

Vadiks pride was known for hosting weddings. Bahati enjoyed it because he got to wear leaves around his head. Despite his new life, Bahati missed his parents and thought about them all the time. Overtime, he came to see Jabari and his pride as his new family.
